Just finished the 8th in the Honor Harrington series, Echoes of Honor. Sometimes I got a feeling of a little too much info, but the combat was incredible. If you are going to start reading these, start at the beginning- On Basilisk Station.

Porter Jack, As I have read both Goodkind, and Eddings my reccomendation is read Eddings FIRST. Both series are fantastic, and good reading, but The Sword Of Truth series is alot longer and more intensive reading. Eddings is amazing, but definitly start with the Belgariad, it will make the Mallorean a bit more enjoyable as you get to catch up with familiar characters.
just started volume 1 of The belgariad, includes three novels, number one being the pawn of prophecy

The Dark Tower series is great... until the ending... as it is with any Stephen King novel.

I'm currently reading The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. It's the second in the kingkiller series. I'm trying to read it slowly since the 3rd book won't be out until May of next year (hopefully)... plus I've been much to busy to read much lately.

I have always felt Stephen King was overrated but I thought this series was different, so far I am not impressed. It is very derivative of any other fantasy or swords and sorcery type book. King writes like a teenager who is trying to be Tolkien. Instead of being a Knight with a sword the protagonist Roland is a "gunslinger" with guns. I doubt if I will bother to read any more in this series.

If you like Stephen King have you ever read Clive Barker's books? A friend of mine introduced me to them many years ago and I think they are better.

Quiet:The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Definitely makes myself feel better about being an introvert.
