Glad I wasn't the only one unmoved by it!

There is only 1 more Sookie Stackhouse book to go. Ive read The Harper Connelly mysteries, also by Charlaine Harris, and they finished at book 4 and I thought were a lot better. I didn't like the last book because of where it went but the other 3 were strong. I have another series by her, The Lily Bard Mysteries, in my To-Read Box.

You really did not have to cover this reply. :) BTW, I love the Sookie Stackhouse books. Much better than True Blood imo.

Regarding the Hunger Games, I've not read all of the spoiler covered replies of your's and HK's afraid the 3rd book might get a little spoiled, however upon finishing the 2nd book, my desire now is a concise story
of the unraveling of the Capital and striking vengeance for all of those innocent kids killed to make a point that "we (The Capital) hold you under our thumb". It's such a dysfunctional, horrific relationship that is maintained with the Districts, I don't know how any leader in their right mind thinks they could perpetuate this on a long term basis.

GAH SO MUCH BLACK! haha I'm resisting, but I'm a nosy bugger and it's driving me nuts.

Finally finished Dance with Dragons. And oh wow, do I really have to wait years till GRRM decides to hurry up and write? :p

I start Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut yesterday (the great thing about jury duty was lots of reading time). So far I like it, don't love it, and it seems like a super quick read. Hoping to finish it off before my trip next week, cuz I'm planning on bringing some new books to read on the beach :)

I just finished all three Hunger Games books in 2 days. Really good series. I enjoyed it a lot. :thumbup

I didn't have a problem with Peeta and Katniss going into the arena again in the second book. I didn't think it seemed repetitive at all and I thought it tied in nicely with the whole Quarter Quell thing. If any of the books got repetitive for me it was the third one. That one was my least favourite of the three and I think a big reason is because Katniss ends up with Peeta instead of Gale. I don't like Peeta but I think that's the movie's fault.

I'm about to finish them (150 pages to go), I've reached the point where they have
assaulted the Capital and I just started the section called Assassination
. I'll report back. :):) Who said they did not like the 3rd book?? :p
