Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell

I love this book, I've read it probably every other year since I was 11.

I finished reading Game of Thrones, now I'm on the second book, A Clash of Kings, in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. I honestly can't put it down. It helped that I've been ill since the day I got it, so I just got to lay about for a few days and read it for hours and hours! So into this series right now!

Finished Mockingjay. It was good.

I need to find one more book to take me through til Summer at the school car park. I could re-read The Stand once more? It's been a few years.....

God I used to love Agatha Christie, my mum has a lot of her books so I read some as a teenager. I was rubbish at guessing whodunnit though :p

She is brilliant. I've not yet been able to guess from early on who the killer is. I feel sad that I only discovered her this year.

Oh and I bought the Hunger Games Trilogy. Everyone keeps telling me I should read them, so I have given in to peer pressure lol. Probably got about 100 books in my to-be-read box now.

They're very quick reads. I don't even read as much as I used to and still got through one a day for three days.

I'm having a happy book day, my co-worker brought in three books she doesn't want because she never rereads things and they'd go to charity otherwise. Two of them are those 'real life misery' stories about kids being abused, I'll read them because I don't want to waste a free book but I never would have bought them. The other is, coincidentally since I'm reading Gone With The Wind, that prequel someone wrote a while back about Rhett Butler? I remember wondering about it when it came out, looking forward to trying it :)

Ooo that sounds interesting.

The next time I'm volunteering at the book stall, I'm going to give a few books to make up for the 12 I got at a really cheap price. Zorak and I have 2 copies of a few books, so I'll give one of the copies away but I'm also getting rid of all the misery-lit I bought when I was studying Psychology. I am never going to read another book like that again - I'm not normally a sensitive person but those types of books really upset me.

In the past 2 days I've had two random free books delivered. I have a rough idea of what they might be from but it's still quite odd to get random free books.

It's like you've got so many books now you've actually created your own literary gravitational field :p

I *have* to finish A Dance with Dragons before my vacation... I've been crawling through it and it's finally picked up, but I want to read new books while I'm at the beach! So that's my new plan... although it's going to be even harder now that it's May... lots of plans with friends in May... :willy_nilly:
