A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin. Book 5 of the A Song of Ice and Fire series.

^ I'm still working through this as well. It's taking me a while because it's not gripping me as much as the others. Also, I haven't been able to take the subway to work as much, so less reading time :giggle

I found it easy to immerse myself in it. I missed reading about Jon, Dany, Bran, Arya and Tyrion. I had more issues with book 4, but that too had its appeal. I liked how Sansa, Jamie, Cersie were fleshed out.
I am dreading the time I will have book 5 finished too and have to wait for good ol' Mr. Martin to get another book out LoL

Maskerade, another one by Terry Pratchett.

Once I'm done with this I'm thinking about moving back to my Jodi Picoult books, it's been long enough now that I can't remember the twist ending for most of them :)

I started MockingJay today. (The 3rd & final book of the Hunger Games series)

I'm reading it while waiting in the elementary school parking que while waiting to pick PBBB up from volunteering there. So, its only about 25 minutes a day - unless, like the last two, I take a coming weekend to finish it off.

I've quite enjoyed them so far. At least no one sparkles. ;)

Finished the last book of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy lastnight. the 2nd and 3rd books have more drama mixed in with the sex and the 3rd book is my favorite! its hard to find a trilogy where the books get BETTER instead of the 1st being great, 2nd one being OK and the 3rd one sucking! i recommend this trilogy to you ladies!

I thought about this because I heard some good stuff about the trilogy, but I read an excerpt on amazon and couldn't get over how often she uses silly words instead of swearing. I can't remember what it was now, something like jeepers, or gosh.

Is the sex any good then? It didn't go as far as that :p

I've just started The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides.

I like it but dislike it so far. Main character is doing some insane literature/philosophy course and it's tough keeping up with the difficult language and analysis of books/novels/work by people I have never heard of.

the sex is very good and very hot! very teasing! Chris has very much enjoyed me reading these books! :D i could look over the things she says ("jeeze" is the one you're referring to) chapter 8 i think is when all the sex starts, but the chapters before that, Christian completely captures me!

im about to DL the 1st book in The Uglies series.

Currently starting Thief Of Time, another Terry Pratchett book. I'm on a real Pratchett kick at the moment.

Also downloaded 50 Shades of Grey to see if it was worth the hype. Skipped a lot of exposition to get to the sex. It's... interesting. Not awful, but I think I need to do some more skipping and see if it gets better. It's not bad fanfiction, I can see how it got so popular.

I heard the sex scene is really badly written in 50 shades of grey

I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt :p so far I've read the first one, where it turns out she's a virgin and he's a sex demon, so he takes her virginity. At length. It's not like, the worst thing I've ever read, but I'm hoping it gets more raunchy later on when she's less virginal and innocent.

Also, I wish she'd stop talking about her 'inner goddess' all the fucking time.
