Do you think the following scenario could work for hiring practices?
The employer only receives a resume and references from each potential applicant. The resume and references are verified and truthful.
The employer knows not if the person is male or female. Also nothing of color, creed, sexual preference, etc.
They must determine hiring only on these papers. And they must enter into a long term contract so that if the potential candidate should suffer prejudice, they can't be fired. Of course, if the potential candidate turns out to be bad for the employer and this can be proven without a doubt, they can be fired.
Could it work and if not, why not?
I really don't think so. It may sort out prejudices but this dosen't tell them anything about the persons personality and ability to comunicate and whether they would fit in at the company.
