I'd hit ya at 5'8".... and I mean that in the nicest way possible....

Do you think banks are safe enough for me to leave only in one my $300,000 dollars?

Don't know about American banks but the way things are over here right now, I probably wouldn't.

That would depend on the situation.

okay..... let's see....

you're standing in line at the party store.... the guy behind you pulls a gun and threatens you and the other people in line..... waiting just by the door is your wife..... you remember seeing down the aisle the following people.... a lawyer, a plumber, a cabbie, and a biker. They all hear the commotion and head towards you.

Who would you trust most with your life? And why?

The guy with the gun because he is the only one at that point who could stop me being shot. Certainly wouldn't trust the lawyer, plumber, cabbie or biker. What kind of idiot heads toward a man with a gun?:willy_nilly:

Peter... that is an excellent answer. However... just so you know... The lawyer carries a big club -- keeps it in his pants... useless like everything else in there.... The plumber had a heavy pipe wrench hanging from his belt... the cabbie had change for a $20 -- might of bribed the gunner..... and the biker was carrying a piece.

Should people judge a book by its cover?

There's no usual amount, I tend to be a bit of an insomniac, sometimes I dont sleep at all in over 48 hours.

:eek

Do you think the following scenario could work for hiring practices?

The employer only receives a resume and references from each potential applicant. The resume and references are verified and truthful.

The employer knows not if the person is male or female. Also nothing of color, creed, sexual preference, etc.

They must determine hiring only on these papers. And they must enter into a long term contract so that if the potential candidate should suffer prejudice, they can't be fired. Of course, if the potential candidate turns out to be bad for the employer and this can be proven without a doubt, they can be fired.

Could it work and if not, why not?
