Your intense, so was he in a "take no prisoners" kind of way, however mostly I agree with where you are coming, and I disagreed with the other's point of view. Believe it or not, I was a conservo-bot somewhat like retro when I was his age - never quite went ino tantrum mode like he does though...geeze. But then one day I heard El Rushbo giving some misinformation about a particular governmental entity I'm quite familiar with. He was nowhere near the truth - and of course, the lesser talk show parrots picked it up and ran with it. It got me to thinking about what other misinformation the right wing talk machine was putting out there. Turns out most things they say are misrepresentations - some minor, some major. That was a turning point for me. I began questioning everything everthing they said, and still do.

I think that's what Moonie referred to as "ShillSlaying"...I call it Bot-Busting. Only to reasonable people. For those of us entrenched in our views (more or less) no one will change their minds. However these discussions are beneficial to those with doubts, either about their current views or the political leadership they question or used to trust.
In case anyone like that is listening questioning the conservative view, if you make less than $150k annually as someone's employee, you are shooting yourself in the foot by supporting Republicans and/or Conservatives. They don't care about you, other than to get your vote. Their policies are openly hostile to your economic well being if you take the time to really analyze their double-speak. Sure after loosing their collective minds for 8 years under "W", they are not back on the "we're responsible" track, but their view of responsibility only applies to those who reside in the top economic tier of society. Everyone else is expendable, you can bank on it. One easy example: they want to eradicate Medicare. Average citizens won't be able to afford health care in their old age. "Oh well" say the Republicans, "we just can't afford it."
Neither do democrats, but the trick is, democrats are wise enough (I use the term relatively) to at least present as though they care. Conservatives are working one of the most successful cases of Stockholm Syndrome in the world; they've actually convinced simple minds like my dad's (bless him) that giving everything to the rich makes everyone else rich. Maybe they are the clever ones afterall. :24:

Partisan? I take exception to your characterization. I prefer logical and knowing what is best for the majority, not screwing them, and definitely not babying the wealthy minority. I'm not prejudiced or unreasoning. The GOPpers have worked hard to earn my disdain.
