Your intense, ........... however mostly I agree with where you are coming, and I disagreed with the other's point of view.
Your passionate, even somewhat like Retro (in passion only) although he has ratcheted down the intensity on his part lately, believe it or not.
You currently hold the crown of intense exchanges.Honestly, it's not my method.
Points can be made somewhat gently....
And to continue the discussion about population density... years ago National Geographic compared Chicago (220 sm)with Paris (22sm) and the same number of peeps living in both places. The U.S. has the luxury of space, but a condensed city is better for the environment and the infrastructure.
Hi John! LOL I quite enjoy this thread... but you knew that....
Name calling is not necessary. Or I could say takes one to... Actually John reminds me whateverhisnamewas (no name needed) that left a while back but was on the conservative end of the spectrum...very passionate.![]()
Are you sure Chicago?
I know for a fact that Paris is more populated than London, which makes it a pretty big city.
I do imagine population denisity has some effect on healthcare, doctors per person is always an important statistic.
People like retro, accountable and AA won't be persuaded - I knew that coming in. But other people read their parroted bullshit and if no one counters it, they'll just keep on putting out bullshit. I step in and challenge their positions and give them a benevolent bitch-slap or two when it's needed. I get a kick out of seeing retro go ballistic. I probably shouldn't reveal that because he might actually calm down a little - but I kinda doubt it.I think that's what Moonie referred to as "ShillSlaying"...I call it Bot-Busting.

Conservatives. They don't care about you, other than to get your vote.
Gawd! Talk about parroting talking points. Go 'head on, Partisan. In case anyone like that is listening questioning the conservative view, if you make less than $150k annually as someone's employee, you are shooting yourself in the foot by supporting Republicans and/or Conservatives. They don't care about you, other than to get your vote. Their policies are openly hostile to your economic well being if you take the time to really analyze their double-speak. Sure after loosing their collective minds for 8 years under "W", they are not back on the "we're responsible" track, but their view of responsibility only applies to those who reside in the top economic tier of society. Everyone else is expendable, you can bank on it. One easy example: they want to eradicate Medicare. Average citizens won't be able to afford health care in their old age. "Oh well" say the Republicans, "we just can't afford it."

Each province sets it's own minimum wage.Canada's minimum wage is 9.50 I think?
Gawd! Talk about parroting talking points. Go 'head on, Partisan.
Partisan: a firm adherent to a party, faction, cause, or person; especially : one exhibiting blind, prejudiced, and unreasoning allegiance
Neither do democrats, but the trick is, democrats are wise enough (I use the term relatively) to at least present as though they care. Conservatives are working one of the most successful cases of Stockholm Syndrome in the world; they've actually convinced simple minds like my dad's (bless him) that giving everything to the rich makes everyone else rich. Maybe they are the clever ones afterall. :24:
Stop being partisan and I'll stop calling you partisan.Partisan? I take exception to your characterization. I prefer logical and knowing what is best for the majority, not screwing them, and definitely not babying the wealthy minority. I'm not prejudiced or unreasoning. The GOPpers have worked hard to earn my disdain.
Stop being partisan and I'll stop calling you partisan.
You are far from neutral old friend and I don't really care other than it's a pity you don't hold yourself accountable to the same standard.
Have you found one yet?Show me one time, and I'll either apologize or show how you took it out of context.
