Humans invented computers right? So, the invention of computers is much like the creationism aspect of life.

So who created God? Oh & who created whomever it was that created God? Oh yeah & who created the beings that created the beings that created God?

Computers are constantly being upgraded as new technology becomes available

So God is evolving as well?

Sorry but I think there is a major flaw in your logic.

I still have one question that needs to be answered. Why is it easier to believe that an Omnipotent (all powerful) God could just suddenly pop into being at some point than it is to believe that life evolved from simple beginnings?

I see the point you are trying to make, but my post was about the evolution of humans, plants, animals, etc., not about where and when God came from. I don't know... and I don't feel it is my place to even wonder. If He wanted us to know that them I am sure there would have been some sort of revelation in some religious text or another.

I am an atheist but I am perfectly happy to become a believer, all I need is proof of God, that's all - surely not too much to ask.

Yes, I am well aware who wrote the texts. Some of the texts were written by Prophets who were recording the words that God spoke to them (Moses with the Ten Commandments for example). That was what I was implying... not that God wrote any of the texts.

I believe in intelligent design, which says that there is a higher power that created the universe and what not, but I don't believe in heaven or the bible, it was made up (I think after you die nothing happens). But anyone that can argue that a higher power didn't make the universe, go ahead I'm very interested because no one can.

I apologize. I was under the impression that the belief in intelligent design stems from the belief in an intelligent being who created this design, hence why it's an intelligent design.

I meant god in the sense that we go to heaven and meet god, etc. I believe in intelligent design and evolution, just not heaven, the bible, and meeting god. I do not believe that we go to heaven after we die, nor do I believe the bible is real (or written by god or whatever).

I do, however, believe in intelligent design, which says there's a someone who created the universe. (This DOES NOT mean I believe there's a god with heaven and a bible).

And, I believe in evolution. I'm an athiest, I don't believe in God and I believe the bible is correct as far as it's historical significance. That's it.

I believe the universe was created by a big bang. Other than that I have no explanation of who or what could have created anything. I don't really care, the time on the earth is too short to be worried about it.

And realistically, this is a debate that has been going on for hundreds + some years, and I am sure it will go on for Hundreds + more years, long after our truths are found in our deaths

There's the kicker, Proof

Proof is in the eye of the believer, It is in their Faith. Proof for me is the miracles I see in everyday life,

In the way a newborn finds contintment staring off and conversing with empty space and air,

It is the dreams a child of no learning has.

Each believer finds their own proof, For some it is enough, for others, someday that proof finds them.

If there was tangible proof, then there would be no need for faith.
