You assume that a person can only do good things if they believe in god. I live a very positive life where I help people, and you don't need god for that. If I'm following Satan, Satan's a pretty nice guy if his deeds are volunteering for food pantries and being nice to people. You're stating a logical fallacy.
Ron.Ron.Ron. You know that "religion" in the broadest sense defines God as good and Satan as evil. Black and white, remember my previous point? Try to keep focused here. If you live positively, then you are following God, don't you think? And since he has hypothetically proven himself to you, then you'd allow him that role, to lead you. Yet you wouldn't obey, which would be against God. So if you are against God, you are for Satan. Those are the choices in a world where God exists. So d00d, just say you'll be a good little follower, so all the good girls can party with you in Heaven.

hypotheticals don't mean anything .. if the posed question is inconceivable

We don't live in a time like they did when God asked such things of people. So your question is frankly, infeasible .. and imo .. you're just trying to stir the shit pot by hounding and harping on the issue.

please read the bolded section of my post Peter .. BIBLICAL TIMES .. not MODERN DAY TIMES. The bible was conceived MANY ages ago in a different time and place than we are today.

So it's not applicable now then? Guess Christianity really is outdated and pointless!

A hypothetical question doesn't have to be conceivable, rational, feasible, or logical. Thats what makes it a hypothetical question.

Most people ask hypothetical questions while trying to make a decision or come to a conclusion for a real question .. so in logic a hypothetical question must make some sort of logical sense in the end .. which is why people will walk up and say "hypothetically speaking ...." they are trying to figure something out .. they dont just ask for the sake of asking .. unless of course they are just stirring a pot. fueltofire.gif

and btw .. I did answer your question .. you just didn't like my answer.

You want logic?

IF God has proven himself to you
and
If God asks you to follow him or risk hell
and
IF God promises to reward you in Heaven for your allegiance
and
IF you choose not to do that
then
You will go to hell by choice.

That is your decision upon meeting God and being shown He is real?

No, I will go to hell based upon the rules god has set up in the universe. That would mean all cause regresses back to the law giver.

I'm trying to see if you will actually obey your god in a difficult situation.

Guess it depends on your level of faith .. I am not so devout that I would do it without some har devidence that I should (or why I should) .. but I am quite sure there are those that would.

And why are you asking such questions .. kinda a shitty question to ask this time of year .. to not be stirring a pot, or anything .. ya know :dunno
