Can you prove that there is no God? How would the world get started, space, matter, everything. Even this "Big Bang" you speak of, wouldn't someone have to start it off? Wouldn't someone have to make it, or wouldnt it have to start somehow? Wouldn't someone have to do it?

That someone is God.

Here is the problem from a logic standpoint and, frankly, a common sense standpoint as well. What you are asking is for us to prove a negative ie: that something doesn't exist. That means you are asserting that it does exist, a positive in other words. Referring back to logic and common sense it is easier to prove a positive than a negative and, therefore, the burden is upon you to prove God's existence.

PS: Expect a visit from a hairy Canadian who will ream you a new one but that's his best charm......reaming.

yeah he may wish he had kept quiet by the time Pyrite gets done with him :24:

I am not a believer.

In a lot of ways, that saddens me though. People who do believe seem to be more balanced and happy and even if that happiness and balance is the by-product of a complete myth, if it helps you on the journey then why not?

Why? Because I don't need to believe there id a God to feel better about myself. Just because I can't answer the question of where did the universe come from doesn't mean that it's proof that a God created it. I'm ok with the fact that we don't have all the answers, we never will. But just look at how much more we know than our ancestors. I can say for certain that lightning bolts are NOT being thrown around by Zeus from Mt. Olympus. And this is why we believe in a God... to answer all those questions we could not through science...
