Personally I think Liverpool would be his first pick as he could walk in our team, first team football is attractive...
Plus Liverpool with the new owners have money now... Money talks... Look at city.
See how the new owners do in their first summer transfer window then will see...

Yeah cause having American owners has worked well so far in English Football :sarcasm

You can't compare Liverpool's owner to City's owners. Compared to City - NESV should be at the dole each week signing on.

Man City might not be allowed in Europe in the future, along with Chelsea if they continue their spending spree on over inflated players

lol :D

Liverpool fans have real struggles with reality. They truly believe that their history counts for something, and that people who don't support Liverpool are attracted and swayed by what the club did in a few years around the late 70's and early 80's.

70s and 80s... we won the Champions League in 2005 and got to the final in 2007...
I'll be the first one to admit I didn't expect anything last season... Kenny got Liverpool playing some great Football beating man u 3-1 beating cheslea away... Beating brum 5-0 and fulham 5-2 away ect...
And that was without Gerrard... Carroll and Suarez joined late jan and didnt start till late feb due to injuries...
See how liverpool do with all them from the get-go... Joe cole hasn't played for Liverpool this season and is likely to leave for 5-6million to QPR... Aquilina hasnt played and likely to be sold for 14million... Thats 20million right there and not denting our team plus Jovanovic, Pulsen, N'gog will fetch a couple of million... All of them never played this season gone...
Ill wait till the first game off the season to make a prediction... Right now with this squad we our the 6th best team in England... Time will tell if we improve on that...

It's a nice idea that rule, but completely unenforceable I think.

I agree, there may also be legal issues with telling someone they are spending too much!

When Man City win the league next year with Man U 2nd, Chelsea 3rd and Arsenal 4th, we can have these conversations again! :(

Shirt sponsorships aren't that big a deal.

£25 mil a year? It's a lot, but it won't cover the wages of two first team players for a year.

Look how much Barca had to be given to find the fiscal sense in having a shirt sponser!

we'd still wear sky blue if we were in the blue square league

you on the other hand didn't even post in this thread, shame on you

As long as Arsenal stay top 4 I will count the season a success.

Depends what you term as success, I personally don't see a team with no winning mentality and a fourth place finish as a success.

True, but things are looking so dire right now it's hard to aim much higher.
The last thing I want is to end up like Liverpool. We must hold onto our champs league spot.
