No. IMO you played the race card. You seem to be implying she is racist to disprove her opinion on this issue. It's an illogical and uncouth tactic.

I dont favor shooting them, but something should be done. How many come in each day now? And I read somewhere that its projected that illegal aliens on average receive $3 in aid (food stamps, welfare, medicaid etc...)for every $1 that they earn. Thats not right. Heres a link to a documentary I found that seemed relevant. I haven't seen the documentary, but I will.

Stop and think about what you are saying Grace. Would you really condone shooting people for trying to cross the border illegally? Isn't that what happened in communist East Germany when people tried to traverse the Berlin wall? How would you feel if your husbands job required him to sit in some sort of sniper tower and pick off people trying to sneak into the country? Is this something you would support then? Would we also track down those who came here legally on visa's but let them expire, and shoot them? Because this is how the majority of illegal immigrants came here, not by crossing the border.
I know the laws aren't being enforced and that's the problem. This is the fault of our government (both Democrats & Republicans) they are the ones that have let this problem come to this. So now we have to look into how we can fix this without going to extremes.
He's not the first President that faced this problem. The Presidents before him are just as responsible as he is for the poor Americans who struggle to make it through each day. But he's the ONLY President that's in office, he is the ONLY one that we can look to, to fix the problem. But he isn't doing anything, nothing at all.... So it IS our responsibility to question his leadership, and the leadership of congress.
AEF's question was a legitimate one to ask. It's a good question to ask all Americans since only 57% of illegal immigrants are coming from Mexico, yet everyone thinks a razor wire fence and machine gun turrets on Mexico's border is the answer.
Actually I'm not a liberal, I don't align myself with any side or group. And if you need any group or individual to tell you that it's not OK to shoot unarmed people committing a misdemeanor, then... nevermind... it's impossible to remove such deep seeded hate...

All of you claim that SOMETHING needs to be done about our borders, and I fully agree. I just do not agree with any of your methods. If we want to change, I don't think machine guns and piles of dead bodies will get us there....

This is in essense exactly what I said, so I see no need to address the other parts of your post.
Americans have no idea what it is like to struggle. Our poor are the world's rich.
I disagree; not in the flow of how this thread was going. Suzie said nothing at all to hint at her being racist for him to even go there.
Felons that keep coming back in over and over, terrorists that are coming over, etc. are not committing misdemeanors.
My Dad was a customs agent on the border. He had a bounty put on his head for all of the felons that he caught. It really pisses the drug dealers off when you keep putting their guys in jail. So no offense, but don't tell me about people having hate over others committing misdemeanors. My wanting the issue dealt with in an extreme manner has nothing to do with Ma and Pa looking for a better life.
It is not the average illegal Joe immigrant that is coming over here that I am most concerned with, even though I do strongly disagree with their first act of wanting to be an American citizen, to be an illegal one. It is the front door invitation to terrorists, drug dealers, mob, etc. that our borders being like sieves gives that I find to be most wrong.
