Why do you think I am not being honest? Because I am not saying a yes or no answer?

Because if you were faced with the decision to shoot someone who's only crime was entering the country illegally, you would have enough humanity and compassion that you wouldn't be able to shoot them. If you are saying that you would, you are either lying or you have no soul. Simple as that

I never said I would be able to pull the trigger. And I didnt know someone is classified as a liar or having no soul by following the rules. Someone can say the same thing about you for not doing so. Its an opinion.

Well, some would say that if you so fervently support such an idea that you yourself would take part in something you think is right.

Lets say that you couldn't pull the trigger, what is stopping you?

Ya'll are really hung up on this Border Patrol thing. Hell I live closer to the border than any of you. I see illegals everyday. If you don't believe me ask Steve (Crzy0704). You have no idea as to what they do for our economy.

I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I'm just trying to understand you. Don't be sorry for anything, I know its your opinion, as I have mine. But what I think is going on here is.....its so easy to say "yeah, I would like to have illegals shot on sight" and to actually carry out this process. I think its mostly talk.

Noone ever knows what someone would do when faced with a situation like this. I know I respect my country tho... I can go on and on and tell you its such a shame that people are coming in here illegally. But I think I have said enough.

I guess you can say that about our soldiers then

Totally different situation. Our military is trained to kill an armed enemy that poses an immediate threat to their lives. Kill or be killed.

The hypothetical question here involves unarmed people who don't pose a threat.

Of course, they are trained for it, and some of them have likely killed before so they would be more likely to pull the trigger on another human being. I'm talking about her though in this hypothetical situation.

Are you saying they killed before they were in the military or what?

No? Some of them might be veterans of other wars.

Unfortunately we do have a problem in this country with children going to bed hungry every night.
There is no reason for them to be going to bed hungry. You can blame that on their parents, not this country. We have food banks and churches everywhere that provide free food.

But let me ask you this, if the law was changed and your father was legally able to shoot the worst offenders if they crossed the border, let's say that drug dealer that put a bounty on his head... would he be able to just shoot them?
I don't know what law you are talking about. He carried a gun and shot at many.
But to even entertain the possibility of using deadly force to stop illegal entry is absurd.
Well then you are calling many of our custom agents absurd. And you of course have a right to your opinion, but I don't agree with you.

If the laws were changed that it is legal to shoot people trying to cross the border, would you be able to do it?
Custom agents can shoot at people, but they do not do so for them 'just crossing the border'.

Would you be able to sleep at night knowing that someone else is doing it for you, for us, for the nation? Maybe I look at things differently because I try to look at things as though they are really happening and I am the one doing it. I know that I could never shoot at someone breaking the law unless it was to protect my life or another's, but we already have laws in place to cover that.
I think the same way. And after reading this I don't think you really understand what I am saying. I think you think that I am talking about picking off 'Ma and Pa looking for a better life as they cross the border', which is not what I am talking about at all.

I don't want you to think I was attacking you in my previous posts... it's just that I was a little taken back by your stance on this after knowing your walk with God. No one will ever be able to change any one of our views... maybe I'm just asking the question, "If it really came down to pulling the trigger or not, would any of you be able to do it"?
I think many folks have Christians mixed up with Buddhists, of which I am not. I am a Jesus Freak, a disciple of God, whatever you want to call me, I don't care. And to answer your question, yes I would be able to pull the trigger to keep known terrorists, drug dealers, mobsters out of my home.

Just my 2 cents here. How are we to tell any of us who is a drug dealer coming illegally and who is just one of the moms/pops/brothers/sisters trying to come make a better life for their families? Who are any of us to know which is which?

I know quiet a few illegal aliens here one being close. Some of them do the worst sorts of jobs just to earn money. The one who is close to me...works his ass off...every cent he earns has been put towards his 2 kids...living...and the rest...goes back to his family in mexico to make them able to come here legally. He has already gotten his brother and sister in law here...he is currentlly working on papers for himself though has been for a few years now. DO you know how hard it is to become a citizen...how long it takes...and al the while his family would be suffering still...if he had just waited till he got papers to come.

Im not saying i agree here...but at the same time i know other people too.

legal citizens of the usa...who have kids just to stay on welfare...so they dont have to work. Its easy money. Then turn around and instead of spending their welfare check on their kids...they turn around and buy drugs instead. There are plenty of opportunities here and plenty of help for the poor in america...so i dont really feel bad for those who choose to remain so. Its just a question of how hard you are planning on working to get yourself ina better position...its a matter of asking for help too.

I see people who complain about illegal immagrants everyday...saying they are stealing our jobs...when those same people snub their noses at the thought of working trash detail on the side of the road...or working at a 7 eleven...saying they are too good to do shit work like that.

I dont agree with illegal immagrants but ive seen them first hand...and can understand in some cases...

I will say though that if you are going to be here int his country at least learn english...be able to understand and speak it...i honestly dont give a fuck if i can understand them right away...if it takes a few times a dunkin donuts of me saying huh? what? at least they are speaking english...no matter how broken it may sound.

and before anyone asks/says...i understand not all people are like what i said in my above statement...but i am saying its what ive seen too though.

thats it...hmm...maybe i should have called this my 4000 cents instead of just 2 cents

'We' aren't to know.

But custom agents who have files on felons they have previously already arrested do. They also know by someone driving right at them trying to run over them or shooting at them.

I can understand why they break the law to cross the border. Not many people unless they are rich want to live in a third world country.

On a positive side note: If someone really wants to help the Ma's and Pa's financial blight of getting here legally, do without Starbucks for 10 months and pay for someone's paperwork. We can make more of a difference acting on our own than writing a Senator, though we should do both.
