I'm trying to paint a picture here, to try to make her see what she supports. Killing innocent people is NOT the way to solve anything.

Yeah, cuz we all live in a picture perfect world don't we? Do you think that there arent LEGAL citizens over here in the USA that are struggling to survive? Have you thought that we should help OUR people first before we let illegal immigrants in?

I certainly do not deny that there are legal citizens suffering. There are a few in my own family that are. If you want to blame anyone, blame this joke of an administration we have for not taking care of our poor and needy before you blame people that just want to come here to be able to survive since their own government won't. Still, violence will only create more problems in this situation and will only inflame the issue.

It is a problem. Something DOES need to be done about.

If they are forewarned that they are going to be shot on sight if crossing the border illegally and still choose to do so, well there you go. I do not however hope for it to come to this.

I understand their situation sucks, but we have laws and they are breaking them. If laws are not enforced, the situation gets worse - as we have already seen happen with illegal immigration. The laws haven't fully been enforced in the longest time and look at the mess it is now - it just gets worse and worse.

And with terrorism, we just cannot continue to not do anything about our borders being sieves

Just out of interest because I'm not up on your immigration stuff but are you talking about Mexicans coming in across the border? And if so, why are they coming to the USA? Is it to escape torture, execution, wars and oppresion or is it simply for a better way of life? I think the answer to that question depends a lot on my views on this.
