But you said you didn't want Hodgson, fair enough, not every fan will like a managerial choice. But my question is who would you employ instead of Hodgson?

January 2009, the facts rant. After that Liverpool drew their next 3 games and that pretty much cost them the Title.

He had 12 games against us. He lost 8. Now sure he won 3 in a row but 8 failures before that, and of course the win over you in March. Houlllier won 4 in a row against United from 2000/2002.

Now now stop it, since you are a Man-ure fan, why are you so bothered about them? Are you scared that because during Man-ure bad period, they got relegated? I don't think we lost 8 games that is silly:24:

September 2004 - Man United 2-1 Liverpool
January 2005 - Liverpool 0-1 Man United
January 2006 - Man United 1-0 Liverpool
October 2006 - Man United 2-0 Liverpool
March 2007 - Liverpool 0-1 Man United
December 2007 - Liverpool 0-1 Man United
March 2008 - Man United 3-0 Liverpool
March 2010 - Man United 2-1 Liverpool

You were saying?

ok then......my opinion is that hodgeson was put there to steady a very unstable ship,to restart the rebuild of liverpool.....you're not going to get trophies whoever was put in charge

To put Hodgson there only intensified the instability of the club, look at the rubbish results, no one playing to their abilities apart from Konchesky who is rubbish in the first place

Wouldn't be the first time....

Seriously, he's always seemed to struggle with pace Vidic. I remember one game where Bellamy had him in his pocket at Anfield. He did however have a better game against Torres in March. Hopefully Ferdinand will play too, he's more a thinking man's defender.

Well, they are 16th.....

Honestly if they don't make the Champions League this season they will get even more debts because I believe that the money gained from that will help them, obviously lacking that will mean trouble.

The problem is, Liverpool are a relatively small team, so long ball doesn't work, because it's essentially hit and hope, so I get why Agger would be frustrated. No team should play long ball, because of the way the systems are. With Liverpool it should either be centre half passing to Gerrard/Lucas, then to Joe Cole, who would find Torres. Or go to Johnson and work it that way, eventually crossing. At Man United it's defender to Scholes/Fletcher, to Rooney, who either scores or plays it to Berbatov/strike partner, or wide again. Arsenal play slightly differently in that they play 4-3-3, so it's Vermaelen to Song, Fabregas and on either to Van Persie/Chamakh or wide to Walcott/Arshavin, or Vermaelen could go wide to Sagna or Clichy and the ball reaches the front line that way. Chelsea is Terry to Essien, to Lampard, to Drogba, goal. Or maybe wide again but this would only be worked from midfield because Chelsea don't play with wingers in midfield, they have wing forwards in Kalou/Malouda. Chelsea would be better equipped if they ever played long ball though, with the height of Drogba etc.
