On the other hand we've had a disaster of a Presidency and at least 7 years of Republicans Gone Wild which has taken this country to the financial brink. The majority in this election finally faced reality.

The disaster of a presidency is your opinion - quit stating it as if it were fact.

And quit saying the current financial situation is because of the current administration! They didn't help matters, but mostly it is because Dems are always pushing for minorities and poor people to own their own house, because it's some sort of "right" or something in their mind. The current administration turned a blind eye to it, yes, but they certainly didn't lead into this mess!

EDIT: On another note, why are we not holding the mortgage holders accountable for their own stupidity? I mean, who in their right mind takes an ARM mortgage? If they really understood what it meant, they would have either had a way to increase their income by the time the ARM switched rates, resell the house before the ARM switched rates, and if they couldn't accomplish either of those, then they should have been under the full understanding that they would lose their house. It's their own friggin fault - no one is forcing anyone to buy houses here!

So I say, let them lose their house for their stupidity - they deserve it. If they can't provide for themselves, then they can go live in a motel or homeless shelter for a few months while they get back on their feet.

Americans are too dang stupid anymore. They take out more loans and credit cards without a second thought, and now that they have to pay for it, they want the hard-working people who still have jobs to bail them all out. Well, you should have thought about the possibility of losing your job BEFORE it happened.
