I don't know if I would use the word 'proud', but I can understand the context it is being used in if it is not overly stressed.

Humans are humans, but we are not the same. We all come from different climates, cultures, families, religions, etc. It is ok to recognize these differences - they are not moral issues.

I love reading about other's holidays, how they celebrate things, how they decorate, dress, their different foods, music, etc. etc. It is all very beautiful.

I agree that sharing your culture is cool, because a lot of the holidays are fun and such, but I'm talking about being overly prideful.

offtopicz isnt the big bad world and i realise that of course. and if everyone in the world shared all of your collective views then there would undoubtedly be no racism, no need for certain cultural benefits to any race in particular, there would be no need for me to defend myself from darker skinned folk who call me a 'dirty honkey' or a 'dirty white boy'. or who believe themselves to have a better skin tone than my own. and, of course this would be a better world at least by the harmony between races. but, the world is not made up of you offtopicz-er people. and therefore such a state exists not. i am forced to be berated by darker people about my skin tone.

and as i pointed out before, i dont give a shit what nationality someone is. some of my best mates are black. if they were purple skinned, i wouldnt care. i was saying i am opposed to the MENTALITY of some races. look at the jews, they are incredibly hard workers, amd bloody good on them. and the asians that come through the schooling here and take out all the top awards. bloody good on them too. i dont give a shit what nationality they are, but they work hard, and i value a hard working person. white trailer trash?> piss off. i would get to know them, maybe be friends with them, but still, i respect someone who doesnt sit on their arse all day and do drugs more than someone who does. and im proud of being white because my family and friends are hard workers. dont steal, lie, cheat. im proud because i am what i am.

So do your friends and family represent all white people then? And if not, what does that have to do with being proud to be white? And if as you are so adament that colour isn't an issue, why do you keep bringing it up?

I think its the other way round to be honest.

But i see where you are coming from because all these laws like banning blackboards make it seem like black people are 'untouchable' or.... something like that

Was going to say! I guess they should ban whiteboards too if thats the case! Maybe the'll bring out a rainbow coloured board which represents racial equality but is a bit hard to see what's written on it!:D

Wait, are you saying that you're proud of being white because we are good workers? Race has nothing to do with how hard you work. Hell, America was pretty much built on the backs of minorities. Also, did you know the number one recipient of welfare across the board are people of European descent?
