Which faith would you pick if you had the choice?

Like it or not it is what it is. Trying to define atheists free from any connections isn't very effective. They should just own up.

Wow. So instead of smarmy pat answers, why don't you tell us what your REAL choice is and why? I don't participate in debates and discussions with people just out to throw barbs. CAN you engage in discussion/debate that requires you stay on point? I challenge you to.

Well, the OP was what we individually would choose without question, not which one is right. Personally I think it's a mark of spiritual wisdom not to think any of them right, not even your own. THAT'S humility. Theist or non, we are tiny little beings trying to grasp at the core of the universe itself, its very laws and workings, something far more vast than we can comprehend, and whether it is sentient or has designs for us within it is not the greatest leap one can take in fathoming it.

Certainly. And not just spiritual wisdom. I think the decision can be nothing greater than "best", whether that means best god given one's emotions, best conclusion given observations, etc. I also think drawing that best conclusion deserves a bit of debate and critical thinking. That's not atheist group think, that's honesty.

I think it's important to question. To me that is how a belief can be chosen.

OK, so what are yours and how'd you come about them?

I guess you are referring to me? There seems to be an umwritten rule that says if no one is mentioned in particular then you are talking to the OP. So excuse me if I answer you and you were not referring to me.

I am not fixed on any particular belief or non-belief. I have looked into religions but haven't decided. I wasn't raised any particular religion. I consider that an advantage.
