Can someone please explain to me why purchasing a motorcycle or corvette when you are a certain age qualifies you for being in a mid-life crisis? Most people cannot afford these things until they hit a certain point in their careers which usually happens in the mid 30s. I think this is ridiculous statement honestly. :dunno

i'm thinking of getting a bike, its not a crisis thing though......i just like the idea of long rides in the summer months

LMFAO...for the record, those were HIS words, not mine. It was the story he told me when my 30th birthday was approaching.

LMAO this was the gist of my rep to someone LMAO LMAO LMAO

mmmmmfuzzydirtypicturereps...always nice.

to be honest..i loved my thirties...and my twenties for that matter...from what i remember anyway. what i dont like is that it seems like after i hit 40 my social/female situation took a nose dive (it doesnt help that i moved to the land of the lost rednecks)...but i dont dwell on my age..it honestly doesnt mean anything (even though you will always run into someone that thinks that just because they are older,..they are in some way shape or form..better...BULLSHIT!!) and i can still out do people half my age,...what i dwell on .....is the fact that i have a rare Hawaiian disease..Laqueanookie, sometimes referred to as eunuchs disease,...i struggle every day with this debilitating affliction..but i manage, i spend a couple evening a week searching for a cure but so far to no avail....

People say they are getting old... but you know there are a few truths that need to be told to them.

1. Sorry but your gut/boobs/ass has been hanging over your pants/waist/down to your knees for some time now.. you dont suddenly start hanging/jiggling when you turn 30
2. On most women 30 is the sexual peak! Men, indulge in it! :D
3. Men: You've turned 30 and youre going through a mid life crisis? - get you a car, motorcycle, etc.. but think of it as a gift for keeping yourself alive so long, enduring life and its troubles. Think of it as a treat for your hard work, dont bitch and whine about it its a birthday and if you're lucky you will have many more to come!

I'm 33 and the closest thing I've got to a mid life crisis was getting a newer fancier car (upgraded from a 2002 civic to a Audi A4) :D but that was more of the growing up thing, I wanted a dad car, not a young punk's car :D

Age is nothing but the length of time youve spent on this earth, nothing to loose sleep over, and if you value yourself, it should be considered an accomplishment, not a sad situation

did you completly forget the weeks leading up to my 30th birthday????? :24:

30 wasn't a big deal at all. I started feeling old a couple of months ago though when I found out one of my classmates from school is now a grandfather.

We seem to start getting the idea that it's good ol 1811, and why arenr we married with 6 kids...to those who are, i guess they think, omg short life expectancy!

or

We're just afraid of getting older.

There is no stigma about turning 30,40,50,60,70,80. If there is, it's all in your own head.

I think 30 is a gateway for a lot of people, the point at which you start thinking 'I should really have my shit together'.

It's the point where a lot of your friends have started to seriously settle down, buy houses, have babies. Hell, if you get to 30 without knowing anyone who's gotten married or had a kid then I'm surprised! I'm 25 and my two best friends are married, one with a baby due literally any second.

I don't think there's a stigma, but I think it's when women especially drop the 'girl' tag and start feeling more like 'women'.

I found 21 hard. It's the transition of not being a teenager any more. I know 20 is technically not a teenager but 21 BOOM adult! Last year of uni. Real world commitments. I spent the day shopping on my own depressed. Further miffed that I couldn't find anythin I liked or my night out that night. :(
