I think this type of perspective is a privilege of not being in a marginalized minority. The big picture is obscured, so to speak. That supposedly benevolent hatred has lead to systematic oppression, which, for some people, is worse than physical violence. That's the problem. Not the opinion of some dumbass on the internet saying he hates da gays homedawg, but the culture of "anti" *insert group of people here* that makes it ok for that group to be held back by policies.

Everyone has something about themselves that another person is against, but so long as you're generally free to navigate your life without being held back from that quality, most of us can manage the hate just fine. It's that condition that makes it inexcusable, in my mind.

I find these comments quite humorous. I came here from a debate forum that leans heavy to the right and has political and religious debates that are WAY more heated than anything you will see here. I have thousands of posts on that and have met many of my friends from there face to face. 3 of them I have met joined over here when I did. We specifically liked this site BECAUSE of the wide range of views and the tolerance shown to others. The thing is, that at some point you have to agree to disagree and move on. This has been running in circles for a while now. I have to admit that I agree with Nic in that your arguments are confusing but you have an opinion and sticking to it. The Doc.... well... ignorance is bliss I guess.

I find these comments quite humorous. I came here from a debate forum that leans heavy to the right and has political and religious debates that are WAY more heated than anything you will see here. I have thousands of posts on that and have met many of my friends from there face to face. 3 of them I have met joined over here when I did. We specifically liked this site BECAUSE of the wide range of views and the tolerance shown to others. The thing is, that at some point you have to agree to disagree and move on. This has been running in circles for a while now. I have to admit that I agree with Nic in that your arguments are confusing but you have an opinion and sticking to it. I come from a site that was leaned left but there were plenty of rights..I was considered a right...It was a good mix,had alot of fun through the years.
The rights started to disappear ,not because of the members running them off,censoring began to take place via posts disappearing,kinda difficult to express a view under those conditions,a couple of trolls are highly protected {the kind that post garbage all day long but wont respond to posts} if you rebutted a post yours disappeared.
I expect they will catch on someday as to what happened.. {friction on discussion boards is a good thing}but until then the damage is done.
This very thread would have been closed at the site I am referring too...not because it would need to be...but rather "looking for a reason"
Reminds me of groups that many forums have...they{groups} usually have low participation as everyone agrees

It all comes down to what you are attracted to.
As a guy, I am only attracted to females. Always have been and there is no question in my mind that I am straight. If I were to perform some sort of homosexual act some day, it would not make me a homosexual. I would just be a hetero sexual that engaged in a homosexual act at some point. It wouldn't magically change my preference from liking women to liking men and that's what makes you a homosexual... your preference, not your actions...

A sincere question. Is being gay normal? If homosexuality was normal, what species practices it? Going back to nature, you need to reproduce to keep the species going. Is there a species that just has sex to reproduce and goes back to being gay?

Go to a men's room, have it standing room only waiting for your turn, and turn to your buddy and ask in a loud voice "man, did you see the dick on that guy". You'll get to your turn quicker LOL

You believe you are NOT gay unless you perform a gay act.
That means you are NOT straight until you have straight sex.

So that means you cannot be born straight or gay in your view. You are born asexual until you screw a man or a woman and then you are considered straight or gay.

And sure as hell cannot argue for or against a gay gene since you cannot be born gay or straight according to you.

Correct....your arguments are all based on attraction.,,which is not the sole factor for someone being homosexual.

You dont have to be attracted to someone to have sex with them
Example..A woman gets tired of men..They stay out late and beat her when she gets home
She reaches a point she is done with them...but still likes the way the look
She now uses a woman to get off..she isnt attracted to them..its merely mechanical and nothing more....she is a homosexual

Woman goes to bar has too much vodka..boyfriend talks her into a 3 way.
The woman performs great oral sex on here...she opts for more in the future..but thinks of men during the act...she is bi sexual

The argument was regarding predisposed to be one or the other not the actual acts.

I agree. How ever can we compare species... And how do we know that "gay" is not natural. How do we know it's not mother natures population control? Lets look back in history, way back, centuries ago, same sex relationships existed, and in some era's openly. Gay is not a new trend, it's been around a great long time. Who are we to judge what is natural and what is not? A loving relationship of any kind sure beats the hades out of an abusive hate filled relationship. And as for around the children, don't be so close minded, explain to the children there are gay relationships. They are not going away anytime soon so why not be honest with kids.
