Nope. I'm offended by the fact that people (the lobbyists trying to get it removed) are telling me I can't say that. In fact, if they take it out, I'm still gonna say it.

I'm offended because I don't think it being in there violates any sort of law, regulation, or idea put forth in our Constitution.
Narrow minded is wanting to remove all the little words that make you uncomfortable.
I bet if a large group of parents went to a library and started burning books about homosexuality....MAN would people throw a fucking fit.
But utter the word God...Nwo that's different, we are protecting ourselves from the religious fanatics and zealots.
Personally I think folks are trying to eliminate the word thinking that if they do not have to look at it, they will no longer have to face the idea that they are wrong about wether or not God exists. Just my opinion.
I mean, if the word God is what has defeated us from being progressive...That just does not make any sense.
Just like the acres of kid's sitting around bitching about how bad they have it, rather than getting thier lazy asses up, getting a job and earning something instead of waiting for the universe to drop it in thier laps. If that's progress, then I want none of it.

I'm not offended by it at all.
In fact, I'm pretty much for the elimination of the pledge of allegiance as a whole, but thats for another thread.
The incredible stretch of the imagination is thinking that eliminating that word makes us less narrow minded and progressive.
I think that kid's today are trying to make a buck selling what hippies 40 years ago already sold.
Pick something else to sell is all I'm saying.
Its not the word that will help us be more progressive, its getting an archaic system out of our government that is progressive.
And.........what do you suggest we replace it with?
Nothing. If religion is removed from the government there doesn't need to be anything that replaces it, things will continue to function.
And if they leave Under God, the government will still continue to function.

My personal belief on this subject is that it should of never been brought up in the first place to be wrong. I am very Patriotic and I believe that we as a nation should abide by what our forfathers have set for us and that is One Nation Under God.
Where in any of the things they ever wrote have you seen them ever say that?
