Today there was a story of a woman who's sanitary napkin obscured the view of her private parts on the full-body scanner. So she was taken aside for an involuntary pat-down and the pantyliner was fully fondled and investigated. Disgusting, and insane. Wonder how long until some idiot TSA agent asks some woman to remove her tampon to prove it's not some explosive inserted up there?

Anywhoo, This guy Doug Hagmann says he got a TSA memo that he says "officially addresses those who are opposed to, or engaged in the disruption of the implementation of the enhanced airport screening procedures as 'domestic extremists.'"
If it's real, count me as a domestic extremist, and proud to be one!

Reading these posts are funny. The phony outrage out there is amusing at best. The media has turned this minor bullshit into a public outrage. Stories like this have been around for decades. If you look at most of these stories, they aren't new, not even close. You would think that every passenger is strip searched by the way the media is blowing this whole thing out of proportion. Less than 2% of passengers get the enhanced pat down, so if there are 150 people on your flight, only three are getting the pat down. But the way the media is making it sound, they are strip searching every person.
And I especially love the fact that those who are the most outspoken on this subject said absolutely nothing when the government was tapping their phones, reading their e-mails and passing the patriot act. Nothing, not a fucking word. So to hear these people get upset now is funny, actually sad.
But yeah, all of our freedom is gone because a very small percent of the flying public get patted down, which is nothing new.

As to the pat downs.... I like what the one woman did. Only thing I would do is to demand it be in a private area. And that they could look but not touch.
At some point there will be a limit.
I suspect that will come out on Monday in the news and by the end of the week there will be some sanity restored.
But then we are dealing with a govt agency so who the fuck knows

LOL, what the fuck is your problem? I could go right down the list on those who didn't give a crap when our phones were being tapped. Hell, I can remember people saying they didn't care because they weren't doing anything wrong. That they had nothing to hide. As long as the government was keeping them safe.
And at no time did I ever say that I agree with what is going on at the airports. But to here people bitch about it like it's the end of the world is ridiculous. Actually I'm not bitchy at all, sorry it's coming off like that. I'm just sick of everyone falling for everything the media puts out there. People need to turn off the radios and TVs for a few months, seriously, we would be much better off.
Nobody thinks anymore, they here a story in the media, a 30 second sound bite and get all bent out of shape. Worse yet, they talk like they know anything about the subject without ever looking further into it.
