I am waiting to order the 1st season before I watch it. My roomies have True Blood parties every Sunday and I avoid the TV.

I missed the forth episode while traveling and I'm aggravated how long these episodes are taking to appear on On Demand, about 2 weeks.

I really don't like that they have completely turned the book around-
Sookie goes looking for Bill in a Werewolf bar?? No, it was a Vampire bar. :) And the bad werewolves are drinking V? If the books are your authority, in reality it was simply an internal werewolf struggle. There were no good or bad werewolves per see. And I don't remember Debbie Pelt being involved with the "bad" werewolves getting high on V because they were not drinking V.
Sigh. I realize I'm letting my preference for the books get in the way of my viewing pleasure. But when I read a good book or a good series of books, I expect the media version to be relatively faithful.

I'm surprised you made it through the first two seasons. They have taken some serious liberties with the story. The main reason why I like it is because it is so different from the story so it adds a bit of mystery to it. :)

I guess I've made my point and I'll try to stop harping about differences with the Sookie books. It's an ok show, enough to keep me watching so I can see small glimpses of the books. I get a little gaffaw when Bill calls Sookie, Suckie.... ;)

:homo:

It would be boring if they had it exactly like the books.
