Tired of illegal immigrants?

If you don't like immigrants, legal or not sponging off the goverment which is what a lot of people here seem to think, I really don't see that letting people in on a gamble is a very productive idea. That really cheapens the whole process and is in poor taste! What next? Turn the whole thing into a reality show? It's in very poor taste! I completely see why AEF and others thing the immigration laws are fucked up!

Grace a green card is not permanent. Even though the card itself reads permanent resident of the US it is not so. the status is but if the card expires for more than a certain time alowed you will need to re apply and start the process all over again.

And it is not as easy as you guys seem to think it is to get legal documentation. Im not trying to be rude nor impose my beliefs and experiences on anyone here but until you see the actual experience you cannot say it is easy.

as for the afford-ability of a way of life for most immigrants. I was fortunate enough to have family here that helped us but a lot of other immigrants group together and get into low-end apartments in groups of 5-10 at a time.

This is how these people can afford a roof over their head and food.

I know it isn't. It does however allow one to work, go to school, live, etc. in the US, thus making $ vs pesos and being able to keep pursuing the process of the legal citizenship path.

I don't think anyone is saying the process is easy. My father worked for customs, so I'm very aware of the legalization process.

Correct, they are, but as mentioned before, they pay quite a bit of money to get here ILLEGALLY. Why not save that and come legally?

Because that would make too much sense.

Charmer, be careful, I see AEF is trying to point you out as a racist as he did me as well.

That he did, because he is fixated on just Illegal Mexicans; he doesn't care about the Illegals from other countries around the world. He basically wants all Mexicans to pay $1 to walk across the border and then given everything free to set up a life here, including automatic citizenship. :wtf:

Except not, but if you want to think that, ok.

Prove to us all otherwise.

Why are you so fixated on just the "poor, poor" Mexicans and not any other person from another country? Why are so obsessed with Mexicans getting a cheaper immigration policy?
I'm not just talking about poor Mexicans, I'm talking about all immigrants that cannot afford it. We're just mostly talking about Mexicans because thats the largest poor group of people entering into the US. I'm not obsessed with anything, I would ask you why you're so obsessed with trying to keep starving/dying/oppressed people out with unreasonable immigration laws?

I keep asking you to prove this, but you haven't yet. You've shown what documents are needed to legally immigrate. You haven't pointed out any specific steps in the process of obtaining those that are unreasonable. You keep referring to the cost of these items, but you have yet to show what the costs actually are.

When I say unreasonable, I'm talking about the price of everything, which I have talked about many times.

Usually, a passport for a person above the age of 16 is around $97. Then , if they have kids, each one will cost about $82, all with $12 surcharges. You can find those number son the Department of state website under the travel section. Combined, the passport ALONE will cost hundreds of dollars. A poor Mexican has a cold chance in hell in raising that with their extremely limited resources, especially if they want to get multiple children in, or their entire family.

I think you're looking at this wrong. I took what you posted to mean they needed a passport from the country they're leaving. Like if you go to Germany, you'll need your US passport to get in, not a German passport. See what I mean?

Nah, they need a US passport.
You can't get a US passport without being a US citizen, so I find it highly unlikely that a US passport would be required to be a US citizen.

New Application for a U.S. Passport
To obtain a passport for the first time, you need to go in person to one of over 9,000 passport acceptance facilities located throughout the United States with two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver’s license.

How much of the fees are profit? Any idea how to find that out? If you can find something that says we make x amout of dollars per application, I'd understand your point. I'd see the excess as an unnecessary expense.
