Wow John, you will buy into a bogus YouTube video but require to meet someone in person to believe they even existed. I guess everyone that has ever existed in history is a myth to you.

Where do you come up with thoughts like this Doomy? The vids call into question the origins of Christianity and the existence of a "Christ". Nothing bogus about it.

I doubt you even watched the entire 30 minute series - And I won't suggest you read the book because believers like you can't be bothered with questioning the possibility your beliefs are actually a fairy tale.

Oh come on Johnny, you present some video, which I watched, that makes these statements and you can't easily prove what the video says is the truth? Stop belly aching if you can't prove it is a bunch of false info then you can't. Just accept that what you believe is based on myths!

Whatever Dumbbug. The only thing you have proven is you have an inherent ability to make yourself look like a blithering idiot with the stupid shit you post.

Merry fucking Xmas. :)

This is hilarious. Someone claims to only believe in fact and not myth. The same someone presents a video that supposedly proves some point. The validity of the info in the video is challenged and the one who posted it can't even back up the info in the video! hahaha! He must be a person of faith! :24:

John F. Kennedy is a myth of American History. Here is the proof:

1. Lincoln was elected to congress in 1846. Kennedy was elected to congress 1946.

2. Lincoln was elected president in 1860. Kennedy was elected president in 1960.

3. The names Lincoln and Kennedy both contain seven letters.

4. Both were presidents during times of major changes in civil rights.

5. Both presidents were killed by an assassin's bullet on a Friday.

6. Both assassins were known by three names consisting of 15 letters.

7. Both assassins were killed before their trials.

8. Both men were succeeded by men with the surname of Johnson.

Because of these similarities it has to be true. JFK is just a myth based on Abraham Lincoln who was another myth based on some leader of ancient Egypt. It has to be true! :24: :24: :24:

What's wrong Minor Axis can't Johnny answwer for himself or is he busy hiding behind your apron?

Don't blame me if your analogies and comparisons don't stand up and someone other than your target speaks up about it.

So this is one of the many Bible/Christian questioning posts you hate. Why hate it? The cartoon posted in Post#1 of this thread- My understanding is the early Christian church hijacked holidays to draw pagans into the fold to convert them to Christianity. Is this a big lie or not?

If it makes you feel any better, I question Christianity because it is the religion I'm most familiar with. This is not an endorsement of any of the other major religions, especially the Muslims who have a substantial group still living in the 10th century.

Why are you still acknowledging his existence? If you feed the strays, they will continue to hang around.

That's correct Minor Axis. Follow Tim's example and run away.

Instead why don't you answer this question you conveniently ignored or run away?

Ask the person who posted the cartoon. Why should I answer for someone else?

Right, you don't answer direct questions. That's the game isn't it? Keep people dancing with you as long long as you can without committing to a position.

You have an issue with it, hence the question goes to you. Now meet my expectations, prove me right, and don't answer.

Wrong again. I choose to stay focused on the topic and the points I make. It is that simple.

It's this simple, you like proof? You answer proves I'm right. You don't answer any direct questions which could put doubt on the side of the argument you have been defending.

In the spirit of Christmas:
I don't think there's any question Christmas has pagan roots. The Catholic church hijacked and renamed the holiday. This was a good move on their part.
Why do you think it is a good move? Simply for growth? If I'm not mistaken, religion is a culture of morality (as that religion defines it), at least Christianity is. The code is to live life staying as morally pure as possible, right? Don't lie; don't murder; don't steal; don't tug on Superman's cape or spit into the wind; all that. How is it a good move to lie about the birthday of the person who embodies the religion? Then to say "Oh sure, all those pagan rituals? That's us, too. The Easter Bunny's a good strong Christian, you betcha!" It only adds fuel to the fire of doubt.

I agree with you. If the only goal is growth, then it makes sense, but these kind of activities degrade morality and integrity and smack of influence, manipulation, and control.
