I decided to toast some Eggos for an evening snack after work today. I like to drink chocolate milk with my Eggos. I had a gallon jug in my fridge that was about 2/3 empty and the expiry date was August 20. I poured myself a glass and while it wasn't lumpy or anything it was extremely thick. I smelled it and it smelled OK. I cautiously sipped some and it tasted OK. I drank some more and it still tasted OK...but the fact that it was so thick just thoroughly disgusted me. It was kind of like a thin pudding. :yuk Up until today it had been perfectly normal.
I also ordered a necklace and bracelet set from one of the posters on my model horse forum. She makes it all by hand and has so many beautiful pieces. You guys should check out her Etsy store. http://www.etsy.com/shop/EmeraldMeadowStables
I hope it's OK to "advertise" for her here. I just think her stuff is worth sharing and she's a lovely person to deal with too.

For the first time since I moved out here 4 1/2 years ago I finally feel like I'm home. When I first moved to this city I was living in the basement of a house on the farm where I was working. Basically my bedroom was my space and the rest was shared. I didn't have access to the upstairs. I basically felt like a glorified guest most of the time.
When I quit that job I moved into a small, cheap apartment and at times it felt like I was living in a storage unit. I only had two small closets and didn't really have any place to store stuff. Everything was stacked where ever I could find room. I lived there for a little over 3 years.
Now I'm finally in a nice apartment. I don't just have closets, I have a ROOM for storage too. I have two bedrooms. I finally have my model horse collection on display. My kitchen table is empty and not doubling as a sewing table and I have a candle centerpiece on it. I've got my PartyLite stuff out and pictures on the walls. I have a bedroom suite. I can decorate. My surround sound home theater is set up. This place looks like I live here, not like it's just a place to keep my stuff. I'm chipper. All I need now is a living room set.
I knew when I moved out here that I was going to be giving up a lot...and I was cool with that because it meant more to me to be able to work with horses than it did to have a nice place with just a means to earn money (which is what I had before). Now I have both a nice place to live AND a horse job. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself.
HEY!!! I can put up my Christmas tree this year! :woohoo:
