I know I haven't been posting much lately. Don't worry, I'm not leaving! You can't get rid of me that easy! Basically, I don't have the internet hooked up at the new place yet. It won't happen until the 26th. I haven't been spending much time at the old place because it's been so hot and there's no A/C. So I've mostly been browsing and haven't taken much time to post. Don't worry, I'll be back to normal soon!

I got off work this evening and as I was leaving the farm I noticed a spider crawling up by the visor and the windshield. An expletive may or may not have been shouted in the chaos that ensued. Death was imminent. As I slammed on the brakes I briefly considered exiting the vehicle as quickly as possible. However, then my instinct for self-preservation kicked in. I grabbed one of my work gloves and proceeded to pound the living daylights out of the spider. This is the second time in a couple of weeks that I have faced death by spider and came out alive.

There's nothing worse than seeing a spider inside your car while you're driving. It's only happened to me a couple times but both were so traumatic I can still recall them vividly. Ugh!

But I'm happy you survived!

I've heard that in Australia they have these spiders that like to hide in your visor and then drop down on you when you least expect it. Then you crash and die and the spider finds another vehicle to terrorize. :willy_nilly:

I had one crawling on my bed the other night...I swatted it, but I didn't know where it landed. I thought it was crawling on me all night.

I have a plug in thing for mice. Dont keep the mice away but keeps spiders and other insects away. Good enough for me since mice run when they see you.

It's really annoying not having any furniture. On the plus side, I have TV and internet at the new place now. :thumbup
