Gee, as your post followed mine, maybe including a quote representing who you were responding to would be a good option.
I'm sorry. Please don't beat me master!!!

My opinion is thus: stripping is morally wrong, in my opinion. It's using sex, yes sex, to earn money, no matter how you try to soften it. Men don't go there for the art... they go there to fantasize about having sex with women. The strippers may not actually have sex with the men that go there, but you're still selling the idea of sex.
Perhaps the sex trade wouldn't flourish if less women used sex as a tool/weapon in their relationships.
I see it among many of my acquaintances... they withhold sex because their man isn't behaving as desired, or they use sex as a reward if he does. If you aren't giving it to him unconditionally, perhaps he wouldn't feel the need to look at porn/strippers or to make use of a prostitute.
If there was no demand, sex wouldn't sell.
I have nothing but respect for the people in the various industries... it takes a lot to be able to put yourself out there to be judged in your most vulnerable state.
Disclaimer: I'm not implying anyone in this thread does the above, I'm simply making an observation.
Please don't put words into my mouth... that's not good form in debate, and simply makes you look silly.
I've never said stripping should be illegal. I just said I find it morally unethical. I certainly have no wish to impose my personal opinions on others. I just simply like to state them, and be heard, as well as hear others, and occasionally have a good debate.
If you chose to strip for money, that's your choice. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. I certainly don't expect you to live by my opinions and ethics, no more than I would live by yours.
:confused That's like saying repealing Prohibition and allowing alcohol again would increase bootlegging and moonshine running :confusedI don't know if anyone else has brought this into the thread, so I am going to add it in now. What about sex slaves? Legalizing all this stuff would probably make human slave trade easier. Immigrant children and women from third world countries, everyday people kidnapped off the streets, tourists taken in vulnerable circumstances. All people who are regularly sold into slavery, and used for sex by their 'masters'.
Is that directed at me, Thornless?
No offense sweety, but why make a thread to hear other people opinions on a topic, if you really don't care?
People are making valid points.
So what are we trading for sex today?? She did say "sex trade", yes?
I'm trading money for an air ticket!!
Yeah but you have a plan in mind, TD!! :clap
Hey I've read the Kama Sutra. I have more than one plan LOL
I completely an unequivocally disagree with this. I am guessing that perhaps you have never actually been to a strip club? If you honestly believe that the only reason men go there to fantasize about having sex with the strippers, then you clearly don't have an understanding of what goes on in most men's heads. You only know the cliches and stereotypes. Do you also believe that all of the women who go there are also there for the same reason? Are they also being unfaithful to their significant others? Does this also mean that they are gay or bisexual?
Speaking of putting words in one's mouth, where did I ever say anything about you saying stripping should be illegal? The only time any words were put in mouths where they didn't belong was when you said that I said you couldn't say stripping was wrong. Those who live in glass houses...

Why then do men got to strip clubs exactly? I'm interested to know.
Women who do the same behind their husbands backs are cheating yes. But I define cheating as doing anything you wouldn't do in front of your significant other, so I'm a little left of center on that.
Beyond curiosity, I'm not sure why women would go. Personally I have no desire, but that's just me.
I do care... I enjoy debate, and I like knowing other people's thoughts on things. That doesn't mean they'll change my mind, though occasionally it happens. But I can also agree to disagree.
