It depends what it is. Lockdown 2006 for example got 60,000 buys, which is the equivalent of WWE doing about 400,000 buys. Since then they haven't touched it, haven't got near it in fact. The last one I remember profiting was Bound For Glory in October, that did about....I want to say 23,000 which was a minor profit, but they actually built that PPV with the 10.10.10 thing. They rarely build PPV's, they care more about TV ratings, which to be fair isn't such a bad thing because once Spike pull the plug, that''s it, TNA will not find another network. But when it's at the cost of not caring what PPV's draw, it becomes an issue.

Sorry I'm a bit late but Jeff Hardy, oh dear! Wtf were TNA thinking even letting him in the ring and risking injuring someone else? Jeff should be sack immediately, how many fucking chances does he want? TNA gave him a chance when he fucked up in WWE, they even gave him the championship and in return he couldn't even stay sober for the main event! Shame too because up till then it was a decent PPV. I actually felt sorry for Sting having to go through with that crap. The number 1 contenders match between Mr Anderson and RVD would have made a far, far better main event, even if Jeff had stayed sober.

-- As of yesterday, the plan was for HHH vs. Taker to go on last at Mania, with no career vs. streak stipulations or anything like that.

-- We were told there could be a change to a main card match over the next few days. Obviously, after Smackdown people are speculating that Christian could be added to the Edge vs. Del Rio World title match.

-- Superstars will likely become an Internet-only/overseas show after its run on WGN ends in April.

-- Mickie James suffered what is believed to be a minor shoulder injury this weekend.

-- The Miz will be on "Conan" this coming Wednesday at 11 pm Eastern on TBS. He'll be the first wrestler on the show since it started back on November 8th. Thanks to Kevin.

-- Mark writes: Have not seen it mentioned yet that Raw after Wrestlemania on April 4th is going to go head to head with the championship game of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, which can't help the Tough Enough and Raw ratings that night.

From Bryan.

Also Survivor Series this year will be on Sunday November 20th from Madison Square Garden.

RAW was an incredibly weak effort on Monday in my estimation. Well below what they had done the previous weeks. Cena not actually being at home was boring and predictable. Cole's stuff actually just annoyed me, and not in a good way. It was pretty much the same stuff as the last few weeks, so that's a big fail as far as creativity goes. Truth be told, the show just felt like a complete re-hash of everything that had done the last few weeks.

Apparently Vince McMahon's been having a strop and saying that WWE isn't a wrestling organisation, it's about superstars and events. With that in mind I look forward to Eventmania where two superstars, Miz and John Cena will put on a show for us. Lets just hope that it dosen't get nasty, eh?

In fairness he can't use the term wrestlers to avoid certain taxes levied on the WWE should that happen, this is a bit OTT though.

As for Raw, I think the wrestling on the show was pretty non-existant, which isn't a great endorsement but I've always maintained that TV shows should be first and foremost for building for the PPV's. I would say that it was a safe show, where nothing really happened because it's already been built as an event. Next week should be much better though with Rock/Cena, Taker/HHH, Road Warrior's getting announced into the HOF.

Is it ever not predictable? I certainly think it is, and being predictable isn't very entertaining.

Spring I agree about the importance of building the PPV but what about all the people at RAW who paid to get in and see some action. Seems to me like all they get is someone in the ring flapping their gums or just staring at the Titantron. There is absolutely zero chance I will ever pay to attend another live event.

I agree with the notion of they paid to see some action, but the whole thing is based around actually seeing the superstars, they saw Triple H, they saw Cena, they saw The Miz, they saw Jack swagger, they saw the others, so they saw who they clearly came to see. It's difficult sometimes though because sometimes the crowd dies during matches, I don't know whether that's a problem with the wrestling at that time or maybe they just can't motivate themselves to be entertained by it. The safest bet is to buy a ticket for a PPV, you know then it's going to have wrestling on that show, the vast portion anyway. If I ever went to an event again I'd be much happier seeing The Miz cut a promo than watch Eve vs Brie Bella or whatever, different strokes and all that.

In all fairness, the house shows are pretty much all wrestling focused. I went to one about 5 years ago and really enjoyed it. That was back during the Triple H/Cena/Edge three-way feud... if my memory hasn't failed me. Seeing Triple H's entrance (though obviously without the titantron) was a pretty sweet thing to view live.

Yeah I can see where a house show would be. Of course you know going in you're settling for having no chance whatsoever of seeing a title change hands, just some plain old wrestling, probably the same people you've seen go at it on Raw for 3 weeks in a row already.

I'm not as big a grump as I must sound :p

okay... RAW just got awesome. I read HBK's twitter before RAW and he was talking about how he had to rush home and thought he was gonna miss RAW tonight. >.>

I said two weeks ago was the first time I had legit popped in a long time... well this topped it.

Really good go home show. The main two matches had really great parts, Taker/HHH then Miz/Cena, it also leaves open the possibility of things still happening on PPV, like will Michaels come back? Will Rock become the refree on the actual night? It's intriguing.

Cena needs to be heel!! I would like a heel cena

Fans totally shat on him last night. The kids loved it tho

Kinda reminds me when The rock was stale when he faced Hogan and the fans turned on The Rock.
