Raw had his moments, wasn't that great but the promo's helped.

Apart from the Rock's at the start, I disliked that, it was too close to cheesy comedy. Then Miz saved it with his awesome promo. Michael Cole also ruled.

Now onto TNA, and having had a full 24 hours to digest, throw up, eat, shit it out, eat it again and then die of it, I have finally got my head round this occurrence on live PPV. They sent a man who was high, or drunk, or possibly both, onto a PPV when he was clearly, CLEARLY, in no fit state to perform, and they had a 60 second World Title match. Well, I struggle to call it 60 seconds, they stalled for 56 seconds, then Sting rolled Jeff up and retained the Title. Jeff turned up to that arena in no fit state to perform, and they sent him out. The only one I feel sorry for is Sting, he had to risk himself to perform with Hardy. Read that again, the health of a wrestler was sabotaged by putting him, of no concious mind, out there to wrestle, and Jeff did it, so he's to blame to. I struggle to think who's in the wrong more. This company wrecks my head, and the sooner it dies (which it won't unfortunately, Panda Energy subsidies TNA's losses with their profits, so while Bob Carter is richer than Vince, WWE' profits blow Panda's out of the water, and TNA is more financially fucked than ever, but it won't die) the better.

There have been many times when I've watched TNA and thought that wrestlers seemed intoxicated while performing.

I think you have to be intoxicated to refer to yourself as an "azzlehole".

Even further proof that there is a fine line between being a TNA Fan and a WWE Fan.

Just an observation though.

:D

I think of myself as a wrestling fan, not a fan of any specific company, TNA has had some epic moments, but they just don't seem to give nearly enough fucks about their wrestlers.

I'm waiting for the more talented wrestlers over there to try and jump ship fairly soon. The younger, talented guys seem to have been buried just like in WCW so that the over the hill guys can be on top.

At this point, I think I'd have to be heavily intoxicated, high, or both to be able to sit through an episode of Impact, let alone blow money on a PPV.

yeah I heard about that and saw clips of it online

They should of beat his fucking druggy ass backstage(Kayfabe) and become unable to perform like they did when WWE "Found" him in the stairs during the day before the PPV to take him off the PPV.

What a fucking piece of shit he is if he did infact get high or what ever before the match.

I heard that the fans were chanting "This is BULLSHIT" and Sting said I agree haha

Say what you will about WWE, but they actually give a shit about the well-being of their talent. TNA... well, not so much.

Oh, and will they please just make Cole a heel manager so we don't have to suffer through his announcing. He's gotten slightly better since the last time I watched regularly, but he still makes me want to punch kittens. He'd be awesome as a manager, and Josh Matthews is twice the announcer that he is.

Here's to hoping for JR to make a return to be the lead announcer for Wrestlemania.

I believe JR will be announcing some part of Wrestlemania, the plan was for him to announce last year (Bret/Vince and Taker/Michaels) but it never happened. Michael Cole in his colemine was awesome, just really awesome. Yes he still isn't a very good announcer but he's much better than before and when he's on the mic he's really good.

JR announcing the entire show with Matthews would be the best case scenario as far as I'm concerned.

The thing with Cole is that he was terrible, and then he was really good, and then he was even worse than terrible, and now.... well now he's just bad. I agree that he's great on the mic though... they need to stick him with someone that doesn't have a lot of promo abilities yet, and be that evil heel manager that's been missing for years.

He's a great heel... nobody is disputing that. But he's a horrible announcer. He misses moves, calls things by the wrong names, doesn't sell what's happening very well, and is just all-around bad. He wasn't always that way though, there was a period of time when he was every bit as good as JR, maybe slightly better. But around the time he originally took over running WWE.com (before they gave that to Joey Styles), his work quality completely tanked. I can remember him being corrected by Lawler on what was happening on more than one occasions.

Cole the character is awesome right now.
Cole the announcer leave a helluva lot to be desired.

I think Cole has always worked to the level of his partner, which in some ways has helped him yet hindered him in others. When he first started announcing on Smackdown with Dok Hendrix and later Jerry Lawler he wasn't that good, generally because he was a face announcer and with that tended to get overexcited, then Tazz came alone in 2001 and he improved and it stayed that way for a while, then JBL came in and he really got good because he was a good foil for JBL, I honestly think the move away from Smackdown hindered him because he was with Lawler again who as the years went on got worse. As a heel announcer now he's back to about the level he was when he first started with Tazz, has his moments, he still isn't great, but it isn't so terrible. But put him on the mic and he's golden, his best work has been lately.

All I saw last night was about 1 minute of John Cena vs Del Rio then a lengthy commercial break then come back to about one minute more then the predictable BS. Apparently King Hippo from Mike Tyson's Punchout is a real person and hangs out with Del Rio so he ruins the match then Rock's music plays and some ass-clown (the Miz I guess) comes out with a bald cap on pretending to b the Rock. My question (remember I haven't watched in years) is about Miz. Is his character openly gay or ambiguously gay or what? The way he acted while stalking Cena.....:turninggay2:

I agree somewhat... but I think that Lawler is good at what he does. He and Cole just aren't very good as a team. Tazz carried Cole for a whole lot of their time on Smackdown, and Cole was in fact very good with JBL. I honestly think that Josh Matthews is the best announcer they have right now.

Cole is money on the microphone right now, which is why I think he should be utilized that way. Especially if they're going to keep him like this... because right now he's overshadowing the wrestlers he's supposed to be putting over. Granted, that's apparently what Vince wants, but him crapping all over matches isn't very productive.

I agree with the Josh comment, I think he carries PBP well enough, it's just difficult when he's with Cole because they are both PBP guys and generally speaking that doesn't work in wrestling. I honestly think the biggest problem with WWE announcing is the shouting down the mic by Vince. Now I agree with giving direction, in fact this was done very well when Triple H was in charge of it on the UK tour, but it needs to be minimal, as it undermines and distracts the announcers.

It seems way too cluttered with Cole, Mathews, and Lawler in there. I've kinda attributed it to the Cole/Lawler fued and how one of them is generally gone for part of the show after being laid out, sprayed with beer, or whatever else.

I'm hoping for a JR, Mathews, and Striker booth at Wrestlemania though. :D

I did hear a JBL rumour for Mania to be announcing the match between King and Cole, could still happen I guess. Also Snooki was pretty well received backstage, despite her HORRENDOUS acting, Raw got a 3.7 which is down .2 from last week but still a good rating, JR did in fact suffer ankle and knee damage last nght.

I'm not shocked at all that JR got legit hurt. :( Swagger really had him locked into that ankle lock, and JR's foot was bent out at a really weird angle. Then again, it could've been Cole, since I doubt he's really gone through that much training.
