The Official WWE/TNA thread

I'm still leaning towards Taker. The way the girl in the second video just magically appeared a la Taker. It's cryptic for sure.

I enjoyed Raw again this week, thought Dolph/Orton was a very good match, the main event was expected to be very good and didn't disappoint. Piper's Pit was fun, Piper in that role (playing the face off) is always workable. Yeah, a lot to like about this week's show.

I love how Cole was okay with del Rio cashing his Money in the Back contract on a defenseless CM Punk; but Bryan does it and it's horrible. :24: I fucking hate Cole, and laughed my ass off when Bryan made the comment that Cole is the worst announcer in WWE history. The rest of the segment was great as well, especially Bryan kicking Henry's leg on his way up the ramp. I haven't heard whether or not Henry's injury is legit, but I could see Bryan winning tomorrow night if that's the case. Then you can elevate Barrett with a win over Orton, and put them in a main event package. If that's the case, I really don't see a Bryan title run lasting too terribly long... and I think this would be completely hot-shotted, but obviously necessary if it's a legit injury.

Dolph/Orton was really good, I've been impressed with Dolph's work lately... he's come a long way from being a member of the Spirit Squad.

I noticed that about the girl... I just have no idea how she really fits in with anything. Unless it's about Kane, and the girl represents Katie Vick. :24: Off the wall idea here... could it be HHH?

Ryder is pretty close to the top of my list of favorite active wrestlers at this point... I also love how his online popularity and personality has propelled him to where he's at today; and the fact that all of his stuff on YouTube has been just him, and not what WWE forced him to do.

Piper's Pit was awesome... especially if it's moving towards a Cena heel turn. I think Cena really makes a great heel, and he's been a forced face for way too long.

I'm not sure if it is legit, I guess tonight on Smackdown will tell us one way or the other. Barrett/Orton is a nice feud, gives Orton something to do and also elevates Barrett which is good.

Mark Henry isn't turning face either,. there were stories going around credited form Dave Meltzer. Dave actually said something to the effect of "why would Henry refuse the stretcher if he's the heel?" and from that people somehow construed it as "Mark Henry is turning face because he needed a stretcher". So yeah he's staying heel.

Ryder's pretty awesome yeah. I follow him on Twitter, watch his show. He's got over on his own merit which is really good actually. Not sure what Vince would make of that but for now he's going places.

You could probably do a three or four way battle for the title if Henry is really out and Bryan becomes, what I think would be a transitional, champion... Bryan, Barrett, Orton, and Big Show. I never though that we'd see Henry go face, and I have no clue why they'd think him refusing a stretcher would be a case of that. Both he and Big Show have refused stretchers in the past to preserve their tough guy personas.

I love Ryder's twitter, but I have to admit that I've never gotten around to watching his YouTube show.

I think Cena did a good job of putting Ryder over. Yeah he beat him but the after stuff with Laurinautas where he's pleading Ryder's case. Ryder's up there now as one of the merchandise sellers in WWE and certainly a face who is over. Let him beat Dolph at TLC, move Dolph up and let Ryder have something.

The way that third video was inbetween the promo for Beth/Natalya was odd. I dunno, I'm probably reading too much into it.

That's what I was thinking... but now that I consider it some more, the timing is wrong. You'd have to assume that she wasn't more than maybe 2 months pregnant when she left, and that was back at the end of May. I hadn't heard any news about her having her kid yet... she's was originally scheduled to be off for a year.

In other somewhat related news.... Lilian has re-signed with the company and will be handling announcing for Smackdown starting tomorrow night. :D I finally have a reason to watch Smackdown again! ;)

Oh I know, the video is a Chyna return.

:puke:

Behold, the power will come with vengeance to render his anger with fury. The deception the weak have perpertrated will be castigated. The second day of 2012 the prophet will emerge and destroy the weak. It will be the end of the world as you know it.

That's gotta be Jericho... who the fuck else talks like that? :24:

The use of masculine pronouns leads me back away from Kong as well.

If this is Jericho, it's gonna be one helluva dark character as compared to even his heel persona. Though I seem to remember him saying a while back that if he were to come back to wrestling again, he'd want to be a character that was challenging, because it's easy to make everyone hate or love you. Hell, maybe he'll be a religious nutjob this time.
