The Official WWE/TNA thread

Really enjoyed the Rock promo, and The Miz promo, and the opening promo. This Raw I believe was mainly about hyping Wrestlemania, which is fine, lack of wrestling maybe but what we saw was fine. Not a lot to dislike about this Raw.

Abdullah The Butcher and Bob Armstrong are also confirmed for the WWE HOF.

EDIT : Here's the pic Miz took during the cage match.

I almost prefer RAW when there isn't any wrestling... since a whole ton of the wrestling is generally bad. At least it was when I was last watching.

There will be no Money In The Bank Ladder match at Wrestlemania this year, WWE will instead focus on the PPV of the same name in July. The story goes that they were going to scrap the match from WM if the MITB buyrates were positive, well they were (189,000), and they did.

The rumour is Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the special guest referee for the Michael Cole/Jerry Lawler match at Wrestlemania, Austin will be on Raw Monday.

Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan is set in stone for Mania, with the Bella's in the corner of Sheamus, while Gail Kim will be in Bryan's corner.

Expect Triple H to announce the retirement stip on Raw also, with Undertaker putting the streak on the line of course.

Another match pretty much set in stone for Mania is Wade Barrett/Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel and Ezekiel Jackson vs Big Show/Kane/Christian and Kofi Kingston. There was also a Corre/Nexus rumour doing the rounds, as well as a Kevin Nash one, though the aforementioned match seems to be the direction now.

Raw did a 3.8 Monday, expected to be at the same level or higher for next Monday. The Rock got the ratings into the 4's again, while the show opened with a 3.8. The aim is for at least one show in the run in to Wrestlemania to get into a 4 overall, preferably the go home show.

WWE are doing a best of War games DVD for later on in the year, as well as a Brock Lesnar one.

Triple H putting it up as streak vs. career pretty much assures a win for the H, ending the streak as far as I'm concerned. I can't see him coming back for a month and a half only to retire again. Though I'm not a member of an insider site any longer, so I could be way off.

The only thing that makes me think he will retire is that he has been getting into the backstage role a lot more during his last break and by all accounts enjoyed it. Plus the other wrestlers were more comfortable working under him on the recent tours, it was a much happier atmosphere than that under Vince.

That's a good point.... oh I know, they could announce that he's been the anonymous RAW General Manager. Or have him destroy the stupid laptop and declare himself the GM after losing at WM. That way he'd be retired, but still be on the show.

Cant see the Undertaker losing the streak, to my mind it can only mean Triple H is retiring unless Undertaker has a dirty win to set up a feud and him as a heel.

A dirty win where Triple H says he doesn't have to retire because Undertaker cheated... that could work.

I still say that Shawn should've ended the streak last year and then retired anyway. :D
