The prequels are watchable with the exception of Episode one. Jar Jar Binks nearly killed the saga, and that character is responsible for the clone wars, due to his weak mind.

Episode 1 was crap and not just because of Jar Jar Binks. Truly terrible acting from Natalie Portman who is usualy so good and that kid who played Anakin - they could have just picked any little kid at random to play the part for all that he did. Come to think of it, most of the acting in the film was very wooden. Still, the pod racing was quite good.

I don't get whats so bad about episode 1. It's ten times better than the original crap. No LBGT robots, no ewoks, no trying to accept the idea that Mark Hamill is a powerful jedi warrior.

I'm of the opinion the build up to the Maul fight is probably what made that seem so awesome too when it did finally arrive.

I'm also going to not say much about not starting this thread cos Darrell fixed something for me (and everyone else!) that I wanted

I still remain somewhat puzzled though as to this apparent factoid:

Dark Side > Light Side.

I mean, come on - how the heck do all those powerful Jedi not realise that Palpatine is masking his inner self. Yeah yeah yeah - the dark side is powerful and all that but to fool Yoda and co? That takes some doing.

What I liked most about the Maul fight scene was the music. :thumbup Duel of the Fates, I think it's called? I bought the soundtrack for Phantom Menace just because of that track. Love it.
