Please keep using those spoiler tags when appropriate. I all most went to see it today, but my job interfered. It's just a tragedy this is Ledger's last performance on Earth.
The best Batman movie ever made and Heath Ledger's best role, however it's not a happy film. BTW, have you ever heard how Christian Bale talks in real life? He speaks much clearer in his roles... (not a cut on the English accent either.) The first film I ever saw him in? TCM's Treasure Island with Charlton Heston, one of my favorite movies.
(Seriously though... Worst casting ever for Alfred)
Neva!
GET IT? GET IT? I'M CLEVER, SEE THAT REFERENCE, SEE IT?
We disagree on that, btw, but your avatar doesn't make me want to debate it with you.
So I'm going to see this todaaaaaaaaaay. Since Nolan was influenced by Heat a lot, can I assume that there's an emphasis put on detective Batman?
And some jackass spoiled the ending for me on the IMDB forums. The thread was called "Those who don't want spoilers" or something like that and I'm an idiot so I clicked it. Oh well.
Ah I've seen some.
What I'm really waiting for is the backlash though. Right now you see occasional negative reviews and tons of insanely praising reviews, so eventually there's going to be a movement against the movie that says "this is the most overrated movie ever." In fact, I'd be surprised if someone didn't already make a thread entitled just that on IMDB already. Seems to be the way it goes.
And then we'll get the anti-backlash.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, think of the reactions to movies like Donnie Darko, American Beauty or Fight Club. It's funny watching opinions sway back and forth so much that it dictates if it's okay to like a movie.
