T-Minus 67 days

Four days until kickoff... and as such, we have #4, Derek Carr... QB. The younger brother of David Carr, and is reportedly further along in his development as a redshirt sophomore than David was when he took over the program as a redshirt junior. It helps when you grow up throwing passes to the likes of Andre Johnson before Texans games... he's got a lightning quick release and a huge arm... not to mention an incredible ability to read defenses. We'll have to wait until Saturday to see whether or not his abilities translate from the practice field to in-game situations at a D1 level. But the red wave is excited about the prospects of him leading this program to heights not seen since his brother was at the helm of the offense.

With a mere two days remaining until kickoff... we have

Davon Dunn, RS Freshman CB. Starting off at #4 on the depth chart, but expected to challenge for a starting spot midway through the year. He's a true lockdown corner, and a menace to even our strong receiving corps in practice. He was originally recruited by and committed to Cal (our opponent on Saturday), but decommitted to play for his dad's alma mater rather than his dad's former coach, Cal head coach Jeff Tedford. He originally signed as a WR, but has since moved to his stronger position in the secondary.

We also have Milton Knox, RS Junior RB. Knox started his college career at UCLA, but after falling out of favor with head coach Rick Neuheisel, found himself low on the depth chart. Rather than playing the rest of his college days at UCLA, he opted to transfer, and after being recruited by a number of schools, decided to attend Fresno State. Coming out of high school, he was the California state high school player of the year, and the top RB prospect in the west in 2007. He should provide a good change of pace from Robbie Rouse, as he's a big, strong, physical runner. He, along with Rouse, AJ Ellis, and Michael Harris, will provide the Bulldogs with a strong group of RBs this year.

The (Fresno State) Bulldogs are still my team, but it doesn't change the fact that we were completely embarrassed by a middle-bottom Pac-12 team today.

If I hadn't seen the Giants win last night, I would've felt like this weekend was a waste.

My bestfriend just posted on Facebook something to the effect of "Win, lose, or tie...Georgia fan 'til I die. And as a faithful fan I feel I can say WE SUCK!" LOL To be fair, offense sucked last night...defense was strong most of the game. Being a fan doesn't mean you have to overlook your teams flaws by any means...but I can't stand fans who only show up when a team is winning!!!

Sorry your team was in the same boat as mine. Better luck next game!!! ;)
