I am SOOO ready for the season. I would MUCH rather watch college ball than the NFL... They NFL just helps me get through Sunday lmao... If I make out to Fresno this winter again, I think someone owes me a tour of the stadium!

Well, I'm planning on being at every home game this year. I only missed two of our seven last year because I had to work one day and was out of town for the other. I agree about college vs. NFL... I used to be the opposite, but I'm sick of the crap in the NFL. They're all (with exceptions) a bunch of greedy bastards, from the owners down to the players. College football has its own issues for sure, but it's a lot of fun to watch... and I love our tailgating atmosphere.

First day of workouts today... I'm thinking about going to the practice on Saturday. Our Quarterback Club (football booster) is going to be meeting there afterwards to try and sign up members and discuss items for the season. Oh, that reminds me, I need to pay for my membership for this year. Unfortunately, they've put in some idiotic restrictions for training camp this year. The media can only conduct interviews for 10 minutes prior to the beginning of practice... and only three days a week, no cameras, video cameras, or cell phones are allowed during practice (so no pictures or tweets).

Well, we've lost our 6'6" receiver for the first part of the year already... he evidently broke his foot during the last day of voluntary workouts. So he needs 6-8 weeks to recover from that, putting his return around the first week of October. Unfortunately, he was probably going to be our best red zone weapon against Nebraska in our second game.

There's a shit ton of rumors flying around today about OU, OSU, TAMU, and an ACC school (Clemson?) heading to the SEC. There's supposedly going to be some sort of announcement tomorrow. I think that OU/TAMU and Clemson/FSU would probably be better combinations though. Here's to hoping this comes to pass, that way the MWC can look to pick up the remnants of the Big-12 while Texas goes indy. ;)

It all supposedly revolves around recently discovered documents about the Longhorn network and Texas' plans for it.

I like college ball except for the ridiculous amount of bowl games.

It used to mean something to make it to a bowl game

and I like the NFL for my own team. Not too many other games get my interest.

Unlike back in the day. I think with free agency pro ball lost a bit of the rivalry impact.

Our new uniforms are being unveiled today... but from the rumors I'm hearing, either our all-black uniforms were scrapped, or they're not being released until right before the Boise game (which is when we were rumored to be wearing them. It could also be that we're actually getting navy blue uniforms instead, since we've got some gear out there saying "blue is the new black" in a dark navy color.

In other news, A&M to the SEC looks to be gaining a lot of traction and we could see something happen by the end of the month.

Both the SEC and A&M are having meetings on the 22nd... could it be to propose inviting A&M and A&M accepting? That article leans toward the Big-12 - 3 sticking together, but that the Pac-12 could re-enter the picture to go after Texas/TT and OU/OSU. But at the same time, the LHN poses a huge problem for the Pac-12, as Larry Scott has said previously.

New Fresno State Uniforms... no black or alternate pant as were rumored, but I'm still holding out hope that we'll see black or navy blue for Boise.

I agree. No way we should've had a bowl game last year. Only reason we did is b/c UGA is such a big draw. And GRR, I lost out on the GA/Auburn tickets b/c someone had already put in a request LAST year. I was told that since I asked this year, though, I get first dibs next year. I think I'm gonna make it to 2 games this year plus the annual fan picture day.

21 more days...woot woot!!!

20 days to go. As it stands right now, I think I'll be going to all of our home games and on the road against San Diego State. I was going to go to Reno for the Nevada game, but I'm gonna be in Anaheim for BlizzCon that weekend.

We had our first scrimmage last night, and the offense looked damn good, even down three receivers. That's encouraging because our defensive front 7 had been dominating our O-Line so far in practice... cause they're a young unit with only one returning starter from last season. Hopefully they'll be able to take care of the pressure long enough for DC2 to get the ball to a receiver. Teams are gonna have to be rushing more than 4 against him, because from what I've seen so far... if you give him any kind of time to survey the field, he's going to pick defenses apart with his arm and the caliber of our receivers.

I'm getting excited. :D

Boooooooooooooo!!! :p They say it's going to be a good game. It's sold out. I'm just ready to see what we've got this year...they say we're going to be a sleeper team this year. Mark Richt better hope so!!! LOL

I couldn't get GA/Auburn tickets b/c my supplier already promised them to someone last year (I get them next year, though, woot woot). I did get tickets for the GA/Kentucky game, though and I'm thinking about GA/Mississippi State as well.
