As Senator Kerry was ending his speech, a man disrupted the senator by screaming, yelling,
and flailing his arms. The man moved his way down the aisle yelling, "Why don't you answer
my questions, I have been waiting and listening to you speak in circles for the last two hours."
"These officers are going to arrest me". I didn't see any officer directly next to him until I
noticed Officer Wise walking down trying to get his attention. The man was screaming and
yelling obscenities until Senator Kerry told him to calm down and that he would take his
question, but he needed to calm down. At that point, the man stated, "You will take my
question because I have been listening to your crap for two hours". The man at that point
turned to his friend and said, "Are you taping this? Do you have this? You ready?" The man
was talking to a woman who was there to film him. Before asking the question, I had a chance
to ask the man if he was a student and he stated, "I don't have to tell you." I the asked him if he knew the rules to the student code of conduct and he said, "What?" I informed the man
that after he asked Senator Kerry the question that I needed to talk to him outside. After
asking the question, the man would not let Senator Kerry finish his statement and kept
badgering the senator about his beliefs, and yelling as loud as he could as to sensationalize his presence.
Just as I stated, he was acting like a pompous horsearse. His behavior in the videos were tell-tell signs of his way of thinking and his intentions. So really no surprise here.

What really sucks though is when our system breaks under the pressure of the idiotic ideals that the protesters seem to hold, protesters that can't see truth even if it smacked them in the face imo. The system that is suppose to uphold the laws will become nothing but weak, which in turn does nothing but endanger law abiding citizens, because then officers do not have the authority to actually enforce crap. And those same protesters are going to wonder why there is so much crime and people doing things that are so wrong. It is because if people like this kid don't get away with their behavior right off the bat, they can count on those same protesters to actually defend their wrong behavior.

Plain and simple this kid (I don't care if he's 21) doesn't know how to act; he acted like a 3 year old child. In all honesty, it truly sickens me, that the protesters actually think this persons behavior is acceptable. It sickens me that the media puts stories out there without all the facts, spreading ignorance into the world. And it sickens me that many don't see the big picture.
But we are all entitled to our opinions. Oh Yay.

Meyer stated, on the way to the
jail, "I am not mad at you guys, you didn't do anything wrong, you were just trying to do
your job." Meyer was laughing and being lighthearted in the car, his demeanor completely
changed once the cameras were not in sight. Meyer did ask, at one point, if the cameras were
going to be at the jail.
What a piece of work.

My two cents:

I agree with Homer that it was staged; at least the kid's part. He knew exactly what he was going to do and what he was going to say and how he was going to carry everything out. And he cut in line. His questions were not out of line, though. Sure, he's obnoxious, but you shouldn't be tazzed for being harmlessly obnoxious, as Boomer alluded to.

But, the campus cop-wannabes were way out of line in their actions. They had control of him when they tazzed him. They were over-zealous in their self-imposed "heroics."

And now the kid has more publicity than he originally thought he would.

People can say what they want, but that guy had a right to say what he wanted, he didn't do anything wrong. It's just another example of the government completely ignoring the Bill of Rights. America's just going completely down-hill if you ask me. Way to go Bush.

And just saying, I thought that dude was frickin hilarious, especially the 'Don't taze me bro!'. Just hilarious.:D

Come on, how can Bush possibly be responsible for the tazering of a student by campus security?

I wasn't talking about Bush being responsible for the tazering, I'm talkin about how ever since he's come into the office, America's been going down-hill. PATRIOT Act? BS. This whole incident? BS. It's all a load of crap.

I think there's a lot of confusion about this. I've never personally worked any security jobs, but I had plenty of friends who did - including on my college campus. I think I have a pretty good understanding of what happened. I'll list the things that are clear from the video.

1. The kid was being long-winded and aggressive in his question.
2. He was offending many of the other students, as you can tell by how many of them get up to leave while he prefaces his question.
3. Security acts on this to remove him from the hall. This was purely at their discretion.

4. He throws a fit.
5. Security subdues him.
6. He continues to fight.
7. Security tazers him.

I split up these events based on their relevance. These are two separate instances, they just happen to follow one another. Initially, based on the way that security was dealing with him, it appears as though he was just to be escorted out. The handcuffs and tazer never came out until he fought back. Just because he is screaming that he's being arrested doesn't mean he is. It's pretty clear that the guy just wanted to get a rise out of the audience, and that he had a political axe to grind. He is not getting arrested until he is resisting the security personnel trying to remove him from the room.

Boomer and others: I think if you break it down and look at it this way, I don't think you can really hold the security officers at fault. The guy was being rude.
