How is that more strange than a public school teacher talking about religion in the classroom? Public school is supposed to be totally nutral regarding religion.
teachers should teach and not bully students.

yes, but it does say a lawsuit was filed against him. I can't stand it how they won't just fire his ass, NOOOO, they have to sue him and get every little penny they can out of his cold, empty bank account. Some people just piss me off to no end.
I agree with people getting criminal compensation for stuff that has affected them but how much? I really don't think someone saying a few words you dislike about your religion is that traumatic. Hell, I should owe people on here thousands if you could sue over as much stuff as you seem to be able to in America!
the teacher wasnt talking about religion as i see it he was using the boys faith(possibly a very personal and important part of his life) to bully and ridicule him.
if he had said his penis and brain were small for instance i would have thought it just as degrading and bullying,he chose the boys faith which shows religious ignorance and intolerance so shouldnt be in a position to teach and influence young people.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, only just noticed this. I was just kind of pointing out that if a school which is supposed to be biased to one religion can teach without offending a completely different one, surely a school which is supposed to be neutral shouldn't have too much problem there either.

If they are not allowed to teach religious views in school then they should not be allowed to openly bash religion either.
Right, but these Christians still believe in God and that God is behind it all. They are in essense separating science and religion. Folks that don't believe in God try to say that evolution disproves there is a God thus making it 'anti-religious'.
