Right, but these Christians still believe in God and that God is behind it all. They are in essense separating science and religion. Folks that don't believe in God try to say that evolution disproves there is a God thus making it 'anti-religious'.
I've never heard anyone ever say that. Ever.

ID is not science in any form. Non-science material should not be included in the science curriculum.

I didn't say anything about ID, so don't bring that up to me. Nor did I say that spirituality should be taught as science.

Go to any Christian forum - to their science section - and you will find plenty of atheists that have signed on for the sole purpose of stating just what I stated: that evolution proves God doesn't exist - that is their whole argument.

Not really, since a lot of Christians believe in evolution. Even if we go with what you say, thats not anti-religious.

The only "evolution" a Christian is going to believe in and believe in God at the same time .. is the kind of evolution where we are all evolving on a daily basis to accomodate our ever changing daily situations.

its possible for a Christian to say "god mad the process of evolution" and have no conflict, really. Even though I don't agree with it.

The 2 are not relavent to each other. The Bible teaches that God made everything .. not that he allowed things to evolve.

You either believe that God created everything .. or you don't. It's that simple .. for christians. You can make it as hard or as simple as you like tho.

For all you know all of genesis could be metaphor for something else, and not to be interpreted literally.

I think the guy needs to pay more attention to his homework and learn to care less what anothers' opinions on his religion are.

Maybe then this retarded lawsuit wouldn't be on the books.

i am a christian and that is my view.

however back to the teacher.........
if a teacher here made a comment like that he would lose his job.
it is unprofessional and unecessary.
if he were worth anything as a teacher he would be able to get his point across and not have to resort to bullying and offensive behaviour.

If the evangelical bloc wants to enter the world of politics, expect people to criticize the group. They should listen to what Billy Graham said a long time ago, and stay away from the corruption and filth that is power politics. Bush and co is using the bloc for votes, and they will be burner in the end.

I support born again christians, there some of the nicest people I met. I just wish they'd tone down there hostility against devout Catholics. I mean come on, we both believe in Jesus Christ as the savior. What is there problem.

The suit shouldn't happen. The student should've just taken the issue to the administration to have him not discuss religion and politics in a public classroom. But a lawsuit? Come on.
