We haven't picked a movie this month! The Eye did not win because it was not voted in by people.

So here's what we're gonna do, everyone pick 5 movies, post 'em here, like we've been saying. And in 2 days (so on Tuesday), I will figure out some way to narrow the choices down to 5 and we will start voting... so get your choices in now.

Okay. Do you really think that those movies are good for a month long discussion? Forget if they're favourite movies or not, and just think... "Is there enough in these movies to discuss for an entire month?"

For example, there was 236 deaths in Rambo... a large amount of the movie being pure action. What's there to discuss that warrants a month of it? First Blood would be a better Rambo movie to discuss.

Edit: That was to Temperamental.
To my buddy pjbleek, there are some better movies for discussion in there, such as The Matrix and Saving Private Ryan. I'd have to think more about some of the others.

I'd happily watch First Blood again, it is an interesting movie. And quite different from the book because there is little sympathy for the Rambo character in the book.

Edit: Would you count LA Confidential as an action movie? That's good for some discussion

Haven't seen it. So NO, NO IT DOESN'T, YOU SUCK, STOP POSTING IDEAS PWNED.

Anyways, as for the debate about movies... I just don't want to see a movie win that has nothing to offer outside of being just entertainment. There's a place to discuss that stuff, but a movie club is meant to be more than that. I've seen Transformers win at another Club I was in. Transformers.

lol It was. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad, it was more entertaining than I thought it'd be. Not Movie Club material.

Memento is pretty solid, as is Fight Club/The Usual Suspects/Mr Brooks/Resevoir Dogs/Equilibrium

For lighter films, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is a good movie, not really my favorite genre.
