Im not too huge on foreign films, but Ive seen quite a few Japanese horrors/french movies. I think they are a bit overrated simply because they are foreign, but there are some good ones for sure.

About 99% of the movies out there are based on books.

But I agree with the remakes thing

Which is why I don't like enough movies. If they're based on the series and not the story of the book, then I can be okay with it (depending on the series, though). But I dislike adaptations of a book's story with a lot of it altered or removed. Really ruins the feeling of the story, and makes it seem rushed.

I just realized the english version was with Jessica Alba, so I watched the Japanese one haha.

I thought it was pretty good, but I dont want to spoil anything ^_^ I did like a lot of the easter-egg kind of momets in the movies, i.e. reflection on the glass and stuff, pretty cool.
