I wouldn't consider circumcision mutilation, but I don't think it should be practiced either, based on the view that it's completely against a child's right to change their body. If your mom wanted to tattoo something on you when you were a baby, that would be wrong. The child has no say and it's a choice they have to live with forever...? This, to me, is the same thing. Not to mention that there really is no reason to do it. People say it's so they stay clean? I don't see people cutting off the vaginal lips on women because they have to clean more thoroughly. Not to mention they have proven that you loose some sexual sensitivity... Why can't people just let the human body be the way it's supposed to? o_o

There was big outcry in New York over the practice about five years ago. Some babies were infected with an STD from one of the rabbis or something. I haven't heard anything about it recently though so maybe it's been discontinued. I don't think it's been outlawed though. It's pretty hard to get religious practices outlawed.

I think it's child abuse but probably not pedophilia. I doubt the rabbis get off on it. It's just a twisted religious ritual they've been taught.

if you cut or style your hair or shave any part of your body then you are not letting your body be the way it is supposed to be.

These are just my opinions... and just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't have an interest in male health issues.

And it doesn't matter if people have tats or not...when they get their body modifications, they're consenting to it...unlike a baby.
And the difference between cutting or styling your hair is that your hair grows back. When you snip a baby you're getting rid of part of a functional organ.

You cannot have an opinion about male stimulation unless you've experienced it.
 
You're source is just peoples opinions. And i'm sure they're probably far from truth. I don't get how the hell one can say they didn't want to be circumcised unless it caused them to have some sort of erectile dysfunction. a lot of people just like to bitch.
