I think that as every generation gets older the values will parrish....but there can be aq limit placed on sex...I firmly belive thqat a human is not capable (soory to all the woman) and a woman is especially not capable at the age of 14 to differenciate between sex and love. And that is the point that hits home. If a person cant differentiate between sex and love they are doomed. Send a IM if you need to know whart I mean.

Since my opinion's not really there, I'm just gonna state it. Sex at 14 is too young, but that is not up to the political people, wether it's a law or not someone will find a way around it, people have sex all the time. The people who should be concerned are the parents. If sex is a problem for you 13 year old child, you are obviously not a fit parent.

y does it matter? i mean, if 14 yr olds wanna have sex, get pregnant, have abortions, feel guilty, and totally fuck up their lives, let them. if theyre stupid, uneducated, and immature enough to do that, they face the consequences, period. im not saying it should be encouraged, but lawmakers shouldnt care about this stuff cuz its the teens' problem.

Well, at least nobody's answered, (in the poll), that it should be up to the political leaders to decide!

I say the parents should be teaching their kids what is "appropriate" at certain ages. But too many parents want the cities, states and schools to raise and teach their kids; which means more unsupervised kids running around.

Are you a fit parent if you're a fat parent. Because then I would never be a fit parent, so my kids are going to be a bunch of pimps and whores.:bates:

Well, my thoughts.

First of all, sex at 14 is absolutely way too young. But should our political leaders really have the right to so tightly control our lives by enforcing how we express our feelings with one another? The US government already has their citizens around a tight rope, do we need to tighten it anymore? At this rate, the US will (but God Forbid) eventually become totalitarian. There are some minor freedoms that we need to sacrifice to enjoy the protection of the American Government, but they have no need to expand their powers any more. Furthermore, they should actually be loosening up some of their power, but why would they?

It could happen but I highly doubt it would and if it did all hell would break loose.

Well, I don't want to drift too off topic, but the government wouldn't all of a sudden just declare ourselves totalitarian. They would subtely take away freedoms until they become totalitarian, while still saying that we're a democracy.

Americans over the years have started to care less and less about politics. If you ask anyone walking down the street, they probably wouldn't even know that Bush has the power to declare anyone a terrorist (also known as an enemy of the state, back in soviet russia) and send them straight to jail without a fair trial with a jury.

But then again, this discussion is about sex at 14, not the US government. Sorry for drifting off topic for a moment.

I have noticed lately that many of the threads you post on somehow turn into a discussion about Bush or the government.

I voted yes!
I cant talk I had sex at 13 :|

I belive there should be a law, something like they would have to have sex with someone there own age!
this would be to prevent older people getting away with being sick,
but if 2 14yo's want to have sex no ones going to stop them including the law and perents so why bother fighting a loosing battle??

altho I would hate my kids having sex at 14, theres nothing you can really do to stop them :p

Well, having sex at such a young age could cause a young teen to not think much of sex, and they would be likely to do it again without thinking much of it. Then, that could happen again and again. So, they would never really realize how sex is supposed to be a special bond, and all of that. I'm not saying that it would happen with everyone, but a rather large portion of kids would eventually think like that. And if kids are the future, then what kind of future would the US have? :confused

And yes, Abbie Hoffman did love his drugs. But you know what he loved even more? The Revolutionary spirit against the US government, to make sure that government would not overstep their boundaries, which they have done on countless occassions in history.

Everyone is differnt and everyone cant be put in the same boat! some people grow up faster than others, the 16 law is good becuse it can be inforced to stop older people having sex with kids I just ment I cant really talk :)

As for the US Im not from there but I understand what your saying bush is a n00b to say the least!
