Finally!! Minnesota has its 2nd senator and is fully represented in the congress. 238 days since the election. Millions spent fighting it out. The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled 5-0, ordering Gov. Pawlenty to certify the election of Franken.

Welcome Sen. Franken!!

One more clown in Congress. he will make a good fit

Just goes to show how pathetic the candidate pool is.

Franken has shown himself to be a serious politician. I don't think he could have won if he was merely a clown. He had to convince the Minnesotan electorate and apparently he did. It was Coleman's to lose. He did.

Which votes would those be?

Well, for starters there are the votes that were counted twice. And then there's the precints where more total votes were allowed to be officially tallied than there were actual registered voters - both of which resulted in net increased for Franken. But those were just a few of the early "activities"...

Then there were ballots like THIS ONE, which was magically given to Franken by the canvassing board.

The vote you linked to was not given to anyone...

did you actually go through those votes one at a time? I just did (most of them) and it seemed very fair to both sides. :dunno

I guess you have to squint your eyes just so to see that norm was railroaded... or listen to Hannity

Duplicate counting went both ways. Franken thought the same of Coleman-friendly counties.

If the three-judge panel presiding over the election contest rules that Coleman is right about the duplicate ballot issue, it may spark a wider inquiry. Franken's campaign has already requested information on a number of precincts in Coleman-friendly Anoka county.
Anoka also had discrepancies related to duplicate ballots, and Franken's side believes Coleman may have gotten more votes there than he deserved.

Looks to me like the person was trying to erase it. The board did the right thing by me.

I have to agree with Tim. It looks fair to me.

I looked through several dozen of them at the time they came online. I didn't have a problem with how they were resolved. If people want their votes to count, they need to learn how to mark a ballot. Some of those were ridiculous.

Only a fool would second guess the folks in Minnesota who had reps from both sides watching what the courts looked at for months and decided as they did. Franken clearly won it.

I agree. The courts rendered several legal decisions along the way only to have Coleman eek out another challenge.

The recounted ballots went both directions as well, with Franken losing some too.

Nice to have it over, FINALLY! :)
