So, another printer problem... this one was because THEY FUCKING BROKE THE GODDAMN FUCKING TRAY! Of course, I spent a good two hours trying to figure out what was going wrong before they told me that they broke it trying to force the guides, "here are the broken parts" well congratufuckinglations, now you have one less tray to print from you fucking mental midgets.

Oh, and then I just got another e-mail that was cc'd to everyone in existence it seems like about something that the outsourced printer maintenance company did to a printer that I don't fucking deal with.

I'm going to go jump off the roof now, I wonder if I could claim workers comp.

It goes with the territory of being a Systems Administrator... so much stuff has to be done after hours that you end up working these crazy hours to get it done. This was a massive change for the network and organization, and it doesn't really surprise me that something went to hell. I'm just glad that it didn't really effect business communications or anything else, otherwise I'd be in deep shit.

I've looked for other work, but there really isn't much of anything in the area. The jobs that I've found want someone with 5-7 years of experience (I have over 10) but want to pay them entry level wages, and they can get away with it because of how shitty the local economy is. The unemployment rate in my county is just under 20%, which ranks it in the top 5 in the entire nation last I knew. The other counties that surround me are all only tenths or hundredths of percentage points behind, we just happen to be the highest.

Juz curious if you've ever tried a State job?! Coalinga State Hospital specifically pays the highest level among the State facilities in your area. I don't know what your qualifications are but check their site if maybe there would be something that might work for yah. Work is so easy, I tell yah

With the mess the state is in financially, I'm wanting to stay way the hell away from any governmental jobs... whether they be city, county, or state. I know the IT Directors for my city, school district, and a couple of county entities... they're all laying people off. It's really bad around here.
