You have no argument. As usual, you put on your partisan filters, ignore any possibility of anything negative on your "side", then try to justify your bigotry.

Bigotry? Filters, discussing carbon emissions? You are right, it's not worth discussing this issue with you. You are just as hopeless as the deniers.

I'm not discussing it. I'm simply pointing out that you're unwilling to truly discuss it. I've given my opinion before that since the globe is undeniably warming that we would be foolish to ignore it. That doesn't mean government intervention; that's your kneejerk first response, not mine.

No Accountable you are displaying your prejudices. Since I've mentioned it, both you and Allen have just questioned my motives.

I could care less what motives you have although I did not make that claim.

My point was to follow the money when it comes to this kind of stuff because the money is what drives them buses.

That does not mean the bus is going in the wrong direction. Just means you better check the agenda before jumping on.

You had your chance to discuss, in this case carbon emissions and who might benefit, but instead you chose to blow smoke. I'm not inclined to pursue this with you for the time being.
You didn't describe any prejudices at all, probably because you don't really see any, only suspect.

If you were wondering about faulty logic as displayed by the Republican Party and how such screwed up values are promoted in the U.S. keep pondering why these values prevail. As reported in the Aug 6, 2012 Newsweek:

Attempting to control protests during the GOP convention, guess which items Tampa banned near the event:
1. Air rifles, bb, paintball guns- NOT ALLOWED.
2. Nunchucks, lumber, pipes- NOT ALLOWED.
3. Supersoakers and water cannons- NOT ALLOWED.
4. Rope, wire, chain, and tape longer than 6 feet- NOT ALLOWED.
5. Gas masks and face coverings- NOT ALLOWED.
6. Lightbulbs, glass bottles and ornaments- NOT ALLOWED.
7. Portable shields- NOT ALLOWED.
8. Real, bullit shooting guns- ALLOWED.

:24: That's jacked up!

eta: Interesting that you didn't provide a link. Will the article point out that the same items will be banned/allowed at the DNC in Charlotte?

I did not look for an online link. Read it directly in the magazine and it was just a small blurb.

Lets Talk Climate:
Senator Sessions at a Climate hearing: I Am Offended By Views of Climate Scientists.

Don't you all think there should be more curiosity versus offense taking?? And we want these people leading us?

You said Tampa banned and approved the items. Is that correct or are you going to assert the republican party dictated this?

Haven't you noticed yet? Anything Minor disagrees with is automatically a repub/conservative issue, no matter where it "seems" to originate, such as a corporation that contributes to dem campaigns. With Minor it's completely irrelevant who officially takes responsibility. It's repub!

This is so lame, I'm surprised that you would actually say this. And I thought in your search for the perfect Libertarian candidate, you hated both Dems and Reps? Yet you feel the need to counter practically every post I make critical of the GOP, usually with "they are all the same" rhetoric, but here you are voting GOP. Curious, lol.

In this thread, I disagree with most of the GOP/conservative issues championed by them, posting examples several times a week. Since you chose campaign finance, why do we have Super Pacs today? Would you attribute it to the liberal or conservative elements of the Supreme Court?

These are the party primaries, not the general election. I don't know if you study such things, but in a republican primary, all the candidates tend to be republicans. Rest assured, Cruz will not get my vote in the general election, though he's the presumptive shoo-in.

Along those lines, I've been trying to find out how much taxpayer money goes to the dem & repub primaries, if any. We use the same voting machines in the same venues as the general election, a privilege not given to any other party and which gives an unfair air of legitimacy. Anybody I've asked around here get that look of "Hey, I never thought of that" but can't give me an answer. You (or anyone reading this) wouldn't happen to know how much tax money goes to party primaries, would you?

In this thread, I disagree with most of the GOP/conservative issues championed by them, posting examples several times a week.
Most of the issues you put in this thread are practiced by both parties. Some of them make it painfully obvious that you equate any capitalist venture you find distatesful with repub/conservative. In short, you're a one-eyed partisan who repeatedly and consistently tries to paint the dems as idealistic and pure by implying only the repubs are "guilty" of these issues.

Since you chose campaign finance, why do we have Super Pacs today? Would you attribute it to the liberal or conservative elements of the Supreme Court?
I don't recall choosing campaign finance, but as usual you're being myopic. It's easy to to stand on principle when you know that the conclusion is already decided. I truly wonder if the SCOTUS wouldn't have decided the same way with all dem justices. I notice that there's no shortage of dem billionaires and corporations dumping money into Obama superpacs

and nothing on restrictions at the DNC get-together in Charlotte? Newsweek really is in Obama's pocket, huh?

City officials and police say that will require severe restrictions on the possession of common objects such as masks, scarves, large backpacks and coolers, hammers, box cutters and utility knives.
