I plan on it John :D

Just so ya know my very best friend growing up and into my late 40's got sucked in by the dark side

It has been like a kick in the gut for me. While still friends we are not the blood brothers we used to be who confided in everything. He is very close to being a full blown born again. He wants to save me according to a mutual friend... Which he should know is never gonna happen. I never will believe in organized religion. Never. He has lightly tried to convert me but knew enough to not push too hard.

Happens with politics too. Interesting how humans allow group-think to split up friendships and even families. :(

Oh why don't you stop taking things literally....gosh, do you really have a brain inside that skull? If so, please use it

I used to revel in the religious cannibalistic symbolism, hehe. Then I got moral and realized that cannibalism is just plain wrong no matter how good the intentions. I received approval dreams from God that night. ;)

It's nothing to do with cannibalism, its just a symbolism of taking what is his word and Christ's teaching

This is the body of Christ (inserts in mouth), this is the blood of Christ (gulps down)... hmm tasty. Ok,ok, I'm not eating him, just absorbing his goodness by symbolically consuming and digesting the symbolic essence of his body. Come on, some wise church elder should have been able to come up with some symbolic ritual that evokes something other than cannibalism. Just admit it! :)

Its not cannibalism, it is a symbolism of taking the path of his life, where is your evidence to suggest it is cannibalism?

Dude, BY EATING HIM
, put Him in your mouth, chew Him up and swallow! LOL. Are you really so wrapped up in your beliefs, you can't step aside for a moment and see the obvious blatant symbolism? :D What exactly do you think the Aztecs were trying to achieve eating parts of their enemies? Or that Aztec Gods were believed by the Aztec to eat human hearts?

Ok so in Christianity, like the Aztec, it's not eating to sustain one's self, but eating to gain something from another person. It's still symbolic cannibalism, symbolically consuming the flesh of another human to gain something from him. It's really really primitive and yet it's a cherished ceremony. Couldn't there be better ways to symbolize gaining wisdom than eating the flesh of another. (Although couples frequently find reward in... I thought I'd say it before someone else does. Hah! :))

Ah, if it was just so easy to gain wisdom by munching down on Jesus's tender thigh meat. ;)

Off in fairy land with all his happy dancing spirits :D

woo woo!

Hey Mr Dogma, don't you slander my hopes. :p

He didn't mean go and eat my flesh literally as in e.g. bite his arm off, clearly you seem to think so

We are spinning now... I'm going to drop it after this.

Symbolism= "the flesh of Jesus" is verbalized as a wafer is placed in my mouth that I am expected to swallow. Instead my suggestion would be to place the priests/ministers hand on my head and say, "may you receive the wisdom of Christ".

Not arguing with your point because that is what is suppose to take place. Whether people take Christ's wisdom with a wafer of bread is another point. There is a saying, "You can take a horse to a lake, but you can't force it to drink"

John 6:53-58
53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."

So, THAT's where they put the body! LOL!

I don't see the connection you are trying to make.
The concept is one of symbolic enlightenment, not one of physical absorption.
The first is the embracing of ideas, the second, acquisition through physical absorption.

Your fallacy looks more like sophistry ala-GIA.
