We were meant to live for so much more.

We were meant to live for so much more.
Good song...but we lost ourselves...
No believer or non-believer is able to wrap their finite mind around the mind of a holy infinite Creator. (at least that is what I believe)
I'm a woman of God, but I LOVE science. The Bible is not a science book so I have no problem with saying we have evolved. But I really do not care how God decided to make me or how long it took. In the Bible it says a 1,000 years are like a day and visa versa. I don't totally know what that means, and I don't care as it doesn't change the totality of the Word. I personally think when we were made in God's image, a soul has more to do with that, than the vessel. (3 in 1)
I don't think it is heresy AllVenom. But we are so much more than 'just an animal' IMO. We were meant to live for so much more.

I don't believe animals have souls. They have spunk and personality though for sure. How sure are you that animals do not have spirits?
I care, I just don't know 'exactly' how as the Bible is not a recipe book. Not being flippant, but I think you are making more of my previous answer than was meant by it.You say that you don't care how god made you
Really? I'm sure many Roman Catholic churches teach this. But I am not Catholic. I'm nothing. I just believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and read my Bible. My belief rests on Christ. (most of the time, face down at His feet)so much of your belief rests upon him creating you in a very specific fashion
God doesn't kill people.
He may allow them to die .. but why should he intervene.
We are born to die .. we all know it.
We are getting allthese diseases and cancers from things we have done to ourselves.
God didn't do it to us.
Saying god doesn't exist and that he's just a belief is no better argument than me saying the same thing about science.
If you don't believe in something .. you are worth nothing.
And saying we all came from some explosion in outspace or from radiation or from some single cell orginism makes just as much sense .. doens't it?
What it boils down to is what we each believe .. and what happens when we die. We won't know if we made the right choice until the moment we are no longer alive .. personally, I like to have on a life preserver when I jump into fathomless depths.
I didn't say you had to believe in a supreme being .. I said if you don't have something that you believe in period. You are quite a lost soul if you have nothing to wrap your mind around.
Yes, he did .. he also instructed Adam and Eve on what not to do. He asked them to not do one thing .. he gave them no other restrictions besides the one .. and they did it anyway.
So God allowed punishmnets to fall upon them. he doesn't punish us, but he doesn't stop bad things from happening either. Sometimes we learn individually, sometimes it show others things when bad things rear their heads.
The world is full of good and bad .. if it weren't .. it wouldn't be a free will kinda place .. it would be like a video game some one was really good at playing.
Everyone has to die, so just because you die a bad way as opposed to in your sleep .. doesn't mean God doesn't care.
Man has taken control of "his" life .. and God has let him. So it just makes sense that bad things are gonna happen from time to time.
I believe in God but I dont believe in religion.
Same here Peter.![]()
Nope. I lean on God and His Word. I go to a church where it is ok to disagree with each other on certain things that are not totally clear in the Bible. We believe the Word was meant to unite, not divide.
We follow Christ and no religion.
I don't get caught up in all that mess. Those are just ways/issues/ideals/etc. in which people get caught up in that only lead to arguing and divide the body of Christ. That is how I see it.What I mean is, do your beliefs fall under or close to any of the sects? I mean, you do have to define what beliefs you follow or not, because there are extremely different ways of worshiping. Compare what Calvinists and roman catholics believe for instance.
I wish my churches were that nice, I may have stayed religious. My church banned me from going because I was ADHD. Assholes. Ever since they banned me, I just stopped going, and never went to a new one.
