Lol, someone didn't think that through...!!

Best news I've heard today is this:
"Swansea City can confirm that Liverpool will not be allowed to make transfer bids for any players at the Liberty Stadium for the next 12 months.". We still need a manager but this puts a lot of minds at rest. Gylfi was mentioned today as well, it sounds like it's still going through but he's gone off on holidays now, could be stalling to see who we bring in as manager? I'll be so relieved when the man just bloody signs already. Oh, and pictures of the Judas with a scarf at Anfield, etc, etc, meh.

The length doesn't matter, it means that he can't go taking players with him this season. Martinez took a lot of key players with him to Wigan when he left, there's a lot more at stake for us this season and I'm glad Huw Jenkins took measures to make sure it doesn't happen again.

It makes sense for Sigurdsson to wait, the new manager might not necessarily see him in his plans, or he might might not like the new set up.

No offence, or anything, but I don't think any Swansea player could get into the Liverpool XI but maybe a bench player. I know Swansea are a quality team, in their own right and their 11th place finish last season was brilliant, but I'm glad (as a neutral) that Huw put that transfer embargo on Liverpool and even then he should keep hold of his players if they want to survive a second season.

Various coaching roles at Ajax, and was Frank De Boer's assistant last season. I'd like to see him in the Premier League as a manager, I liked watching him when he was a player, graceful and classy.

When we took four points from them last season, there were some of our players who just ran rings around theirs, totally out played them, but when it comes to making a team like Liverpool who knows what goes through a managers mind. I don't think they need any of our players, Liverpool has the talent there, Rodgers just needs to work with it, but if only football was that simple!

And yes Bergkamp seems to be the favorite today! Someone new each day but this one is by far the best name I've heard so far, would be so happy if this happened..!

I have to agree yes, who ever Huw and the board is going to appoint, I just want it to happen.. it's a horrible feeling not having a manager.

Oh and apparently, the whole Cardiff playing in red and having a dragon on their crest is being announced tomorrow.. despite them you know.. being the bluebirds and everything. Hope the 100M investment is worth it..

Have you seen our new away kit for next season? =) It's for our centenary year (with a special crest)

"We were bursting with pride in becoming the first club to represent Wales and fly the flag in the Premier League - so proud and patriotic that we will wear our nation's colours up and down stadiums throughout England next season, spreading the good word of Swansea City and Wales everywhere we go."

It's even got 'Jack' written in gold on the back!

Bergkamp could make a good manager. He's bright. And he's got a ruthless streak.

he'll be good unless swansea qualify for europe through the fair play thing,he'll be travelling to forgotten parts of eastern europe by taxi....good for dai the cabby i suppose:jk

Some dreadful news from Spain.

Villarreal have confirmed coach Manuel Preciado has died of a heart attack just a day after he was named the club's new boss.

Preciado was sacked by Sporting Gijon

in January after five-and-a-half years in charge, but had been handed the task of leading Villarreal

back into La Liga this week.

He was due to be presented to the media at El Madrigal on Friday, but Villarreal released a statement to announce that Preciado had passed away at the age of 54.

Villarreal said in a statement on Thursday morning: "The coach Manuel Preciado died overnight in Valencia

as a result of a heart attack.

"The Cantabrian, who had been chosen by Villarreal to lead next season's project, was 54 years old.

"Villarreal want to express their deepest sorrow at the sad loss and want to offer their condolences to his family and all his relatives."

During his playing career, Preciado was a defender for the likes of Racing Santander,

Linares and Alaves before he retired in the early 1990s.

Preciado also had two spells as a coach of Racing, while Gimnastica and Levante

were among his other clubs before he took over at Sporting in 2006.

He had kept Sporting in the top flight in recent seasons before his departure earlier this year and Villarreal were hoping he could work his promotion magic with them.

Villarreal had previously dismissed Jose Molina

in March and his replacement Miguel Angel Lotina was unable to prevent relegation from La Liga.

The Yellow Submarines finished fourth in the 2010/11 Primera Division season and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2006, and the Europa League semi-finals in 2011.
