Beckham's always been a pretty tidy footballer, I'd say between 1999 and 2002 he was at his peak. But he always had a bit of the celebrity behind him anyway, even before Victoria he was doing photoshoots and signing deals with the major companies, so it wasn't like it was a whole new world to him, but then I think Brand Beckham exploded, which is a reason why we sold him to Real Madrid, I don't think we needed a player who had, or was going to, become bigger than the club. His move to LA really made him bigger, and it certainly worked for Victoria. But he's the most recognisable footballer on the planet and he's earned that off his own back, plus he's certainly still got class on the field too.

Ravel Morrison has a bit of a history on the wrong side of the law shall we say which is why I think we sold him. He's hugely talented though.

Morrison went because he wanted out, Man Utd wern't wanting to sell him

I still maintain Victoria fixed that to make it look worse. She was wanting to move from about 2001 onwards. But they've made up now (Sir Alex and David) and while I don't think we'd ever bring him back to play he'll always be welcome back at Old Trafford otherwise. Ravel had six months left and wanted first team football, so I don't blame him. Plus Sir Alex and Big Sam are old mates.

Me stupid on purpose? Where did you get the idea that I'm stupid? He is one of the most overhyped footballer on the planet, just because he is married to a former Spice Girl, his popularity has been over-hyped by people who are interested in fantasies

beckham was quite possibly the best crosser and dead ball specialist the game has ever seen.

Is that all? There players that are simply better than him, Messi comes to mind. Pele was also miles ahead than Beckham will ever be. Married to a ex-Spice Girl helps in the marketing of what ever his name is on.

if someone put together an all time best england 11 beckham would have to be in it

now bobby moore for instance is generally regarded as one of the best defenders of all time, does it make him a lesser player because all he could do was defend?

I was actually glad that Beckham overtook Bobby Moore's cap record. It would happen at some point or another but I was glad it was done by such a pro. Was Beckham better than Moore? I woulod say no but some people are blinded by his off the pitch stuff. Beckham has probably been the best England player since the 66 mob, possibly in natural talent behind Gazza but then Gazza fucked his career up all by himself while Beckham went from being a gifted young twat to an awesome player with his head in the right place.

He was a winger, wingers are there to cross the ball to players and in some situations try and score free kicks. He wasn't your run of the mill winger as he didn't run past players that often, but he didn't need to, because his crossing was that good. And we all know how good his fre kicks were.

Yeah...but I also think David would do well on his own, like I said it wasn't as if he wasn't doing the publicity stuff before he met Victoria. But them two together certainly benefitted him.

and what does messi earn?

A lot more than you might think. Not as much as Beckham but nobody does that, but Messi isn't exactly poor. He's on 130,000 euro. His buyout clause his 150m, plus he is with Nike and stuff in Spain and Argentina.

Like I said, his record speaks for itself. Spanish and english championships, champions leagues, capped over 100 times for his country. So no point really discussing it any further.
